When is Damiao's contract up? If it is mammoth then surely his value won't change in the summer, so why not make the investment now, offload some deadwood and re assess things in the summer? I mean on current look, we will struggle big time to get goals given Defoe's current form (and IMO not the right player for that role), Adebayor playing awful and not around for a bit, and a general lack of anything else.
