When Alan Nixon first linked Bolton to a PL winger, my intial reaction was Steve. But when I read him saying that Bolton had jumped ahead of other teams, I quickly dismissed my thoughts. Surely there can't be a clubs, plural, interested in him?!!
If De Ridder is off to Bolton as DTLW says then we surely need a replacement in the next 150 minutes. I know he's no good but he does actually get in the squad, even on the pitch suggesting we have few options.
If De Ridder's off and we're not signing a winger, I'm worried. Don't get me wrong, I think De Ridder is cack, but what does that leave us with?
Getting Lallana and Mayuka back makes De Ridder expendable, I guess. We're really, really thin now, though.
Again...strange to move him on after he's got a couple of games. Though it does mean Poch has seen him. He could do well for somone else...our standard of player is high.
It's the main reason why I just said that I can't see Steve leaving, despite my mind thinking of him when Nixon tweeted. He might be pretty cack, but he's still a winger. And we are desperately short of wingers.
Why is it strange that De Ridder is moving on? He's utter ****e and looks like Pochettino has seen that after just 1 sub appearance and training.
Boruc,Clyne,Forren,Fonte,Shaw,Schneiderlin,Cork,Puncheon,Ramirez,Lallana,Lambert With a bench of Davis,Richardson,Yoshida,Davis,Ward-Prowse,Guly,Rodriguez Still left with people like Hooiveld,Mayuka, Steve, Lee and Fox. Plus any youngsters deemed good enough.
I'd rather change a formation than play a sub-standard player. The PL is too unforgiving to carry passengers.
Why is it surprising championship teams are in for him? If he's good enough to get on the pitch for us he can do a job for them.
