I don't even know where to start on pulling this apart so I will just say this - why do rival fans have so much emotion over Liverpool FC and it's players/managers/games/fans .... I have no emotional attachment to any other teams' manager or players ..... to the point of 'hating' any of them. Every rival fan is an expert on us and the ins and outs of our club - when we for the most part have no interest in any of your stuff other than whats to talk about pre and post games!
What a crock of **** or sack of **** if you prefer. Another rubbish fishing attempt (are you two joined at the hip or did The Chief ask for help trying to get a bite or two?) What exactly did happen with Woy? I take it you watch Liverpool so much you can enlighten me? I realise the obsession with us that all United fans still have but still... Did he really get the same treatment as Rafa at Chelsea? Did he ****e. He wasn't exactly a popular appointment but there was very little vitriol from the terraces towards him, I think you'll find we had fatter yank fish to fry at the time. You two should probably leave the football talk to others and focus on skipping off in to the sunset hand in hand I expect better WUMs from the pair of you in future and please stop getting your information from Metths Encyclopedia of Football.
Seriously, what the ****? As YOU have reduced this to its lowest common denominator as you can't handle the fact your former manager is in actual fact ****, I'll leave you to it. You utter dick.
After SAF and maybe Mancini, name me another manager in the prem that has more titles, more trophies, more CL wins under his belt than Rafa. Granted he is not in a great spot now, as I said earlier, he needs to go to a team that can get in the CL, maybe has a bit of history but is not such in the limelight and he is given some time to do things his way. You can;t deny he is a good manager when he broke up the Real/Barca monopoly for a while and had us as the number 1 team in Europe! As I said, a Marseille, Sporting Lisbon/Benfica, etc would be a good place to go.
think he wanted to say that at the start bluff to be honest. thought it was a bit odd that it couldn't be the fans, owner or players fault as well, it was all Rafas doing.
A reminder of some of the things Rafa did at Liverpool : 2004-05 In his 1st home game in charge (Man City) Liverpool came from behind at half-time to win a game for the first time in more than 5 years. At Fulham (October 2004) the Reds came from behind at half-time to win an away game for the 1st time in 13 years. Liverpool became the 1st British club to ‘keep’ the European Cup following a 5th Final success. 2005-06 Became only the 3rd team, and the 1st British side, to win the European Super Cup 3 times. Kept clean sheets in each of their opening 4 league games for the 1st time in the club’s history. Liverpool set a new club record of 11 consecutive clean sheets (Oct-Dec 2005). Went 762 minutes without conceding a league goal (a post-war club record). Won 10 league games in a row for the 1st time in 15 years. At Luton Liverpool scored 5 goals in an away F.A. Cup tie for the 1st time in 59 years. Liverpool beat Manchester United for the 1st time in the F.A. Cup for 85 years. Recorded their biggest ever away win in the F.A. Cup (7-0 at Birmingham) and the biggest by any team away from home in the Quarter-Finals for 106 years. Conceded only 8 league goals at home – their 3rd best total ever. Set a club record of 12 successive wins in all competitions (it was extended to 14 at the start of the following season). By lifting the F.A. Cup became the 1st manager in the club’s history to win a trophy in each of his first 2 seasons in charge. Set a club record of 21 goals scored by substitutes in a season – previous record was 12. Achieved the 6th-highest accumulation of available league points in the club’s history, and at the time, the 2nd-highest ever number of wins (as a % of games played) That's just the first two seasons I could go on .......
That aimed at me? I do hope so I thought lowering things to the lowest common denominator was the best way to communicate with you and Sweats (see his post for who's reduced the conversation down). Thanks for proving exactly why you created the thread with that statement. Not sure why you had to dress it up as a "serious thread" when that's exactly what you wanted to say all along. Bye then. Next time keep it to the banter thread because I don't go on there (for a reason).
Yeah, its never you is it? Never. You wanted this to be a wind up so you made it one. What sweats has said has precisely zero to do with me. And jenners, could you do me the favour of quoting where I said 'it's all Rafa's fault' as you've now attributed this to me three times and I can't remember saying it.
My post was intended to get a bite. Personally I don't care about rafa or how he is getting on at Chelsea all I see is a fat twat who left you in the mire, then went about destroying inter then onto Chelsea. I actually thought I was paying your club a compliment re houllier.. And as to caring about Liverpool I don't, but I assume you shut your eyes when perusing your board as there is usually some sort of vitriol aimed at united its manager or its players, conspiracies etc about the fa and ferguson. We're rivals always will be accept it.. We take the piss out of you, you lot do the same back when given chance. So what. Embrace it.
I didn't "want" it be a wind up, we all gave our opinions and you've now given yours. Fine that's no problem. As sweats says he intended to get a bite and so did I I got mine. Ps...you're so wrong. It's ALWAYS me. Thought you were going anyway "Chief".
well firstly i said "why is it always the managers fault and never the players?", your response "well why are managers employed then?" i challenged again saying why is it ALWAYS the managers fault, your reply "you haven't seen his substitutions and selections then" you then followed that by saying his handling of the BA situation was poor, and while i sort of agreed we don't know his hand isn't being tied by the owner do we,who's ego has probably been dented for wasting £50 mill on ****e. finally your last reply "As YOU have reduced this to its lowest common denominator as you can't handle the fact your former manager is in actual fact ****, I'll leave you to it." they all seem to me like you are blaming the manager and no one else. its not the booing fans, its not the interfering owner. its not the players not performing good enough, so it must be Rafas fault all of the goings on at Chelsea right?
It's a failed attempt at a bite when everyone knows your fishing lad As for Rafa and your opinions I don't care what you think. You don't care what I think either do you. As you say we are allowed to take the piss out of each other...there's a whole thread for it. A thread I don't go on as I couldn't give a flying **** about abusing opposition fans or trying to get a rise for my own gratification (unless they come onto this board thinking they are clever or funny) I mean if I really wanted to discuss a rival teams former managers I could do a "Is Big Ron a fat sweaty racist?" thread on your board. Why would I bother?
Lol: so the ban on here must have made you rusty Chief. The WUM was badly hidden; You reacted too soon: you always keep up the pretence as long as possible: that in itself is a WUM! You made the age old mistake of the dignified walk off, but returning to the scene of the crime. It'll come back to you lol..... Of course Sweats bull in a china shop approach is incongruous with your attempt
Titles: Wenger (4), O'Neill (3). Benitez has 2. Trophies: Wenger (9), O'Neill (7). Benitez has 5. I think he's a good manager when the situation suits him. When he has a decent team, money to spend and freedom to do what he wants then he has shown he can win stuff. But he's almost completely unable to operate under any sort of adversity - at Valencia he inherited a fantastic team and got plenty of money to spend so all he had to do was improve a winning formula. Ditto at Liverpool - the team he inherited may have had some deadwood but it had plenty of top quality players, and in many ways was the ideal cup side, as shown by 2001. It's when the situation gets tough that he struggles - he can't handle unhappy players, struggles to deal with setbacks or criticism and seems to find it really difficult to keep his players motivated when the season gets tough. He also needs lots and lots of money and seems to rely on trading players at a very high rate to keep his team going, which again hints at a lack of ability to motivate players for the long term. I think that's one of the main problems he's having at Chelsea - he's dealing with a team who expected to be challenging for the CL and PL this year, and he just can't motivate them to get excited about the LC, FAC and securing third place.
