Exactly, it is a great gesture that will make a massive difference to a charity without him even noticing No doubt he will still make money from playing too, notice it says 'club salary'
I don't see why he had to mention it in his interview, many players do similar things but don't brag about it to a worldwide audience. But i'm happy poor children will benefit from his self promotion.
Many players and clubs makes donation but few donate all of it. I agree he didn't need to mention it although I don't know if he said it or someone else on his behalf?

I'm pretty sure playing without pay for 5 months has never been done before. Why people can't just see it as the fantastic gesture it is rather than picking over it because it's an ex United player is beyond belief, even if to be expected on here.

I remember that. That was a gesture to the club for supporting him through a bad time. This is completely different, I also sure people weren't trying to find negatives in why he did it either.

ffs, fantastic gesture, but behind this all is the beckham pr wagon are in full swing. he is conveniently in Paris, and he has made more money out of modelling than football, yet we are supposed to believe this is a fantastic gesture and not be a bit sceptical about it. if i don't see him catwalking or modelling while in Paris i will take back what i say and it is a genuine nice thing he is doing, but i fecking bet he will make shed loads of money out of modelling and this has just given him free publicity to achieve that.
