I had to read the website again... I started moaning like sheldon until I realsied we got the undisclosed fee. What do you guys reckon, is it the reported £3m or £1m plus Morrison?

I've got to admit, I'm fairly happy with this deal AS LONG AS we get Habibou, Warnock and hopefully a winger in before the window shuts as well!

It'll be Morison plus 500k-£1m I'd assume. If we use the money to bring in Warnock and Burke/Dyer I'll be happy. Habibou would be nice on a loan to buy as well, but no necessity if we already have Morison

You do know that Morison has arrived with a thigh injury & won't be playing on Saturday, don't you? We need everyone we can get!

It was a str8 swap Becchio for Morison <ok>

the difference that Norwich have to pay Leeds is donations from Norwich fans who agreed to pay Leeds to take him off their hands <laugh>

McCormack, Diouf, Somma, Poleon all capable of playing up front. Morison will be fit enough before long. Adding another striker when we ordinarily play 1 up top/Diouf just in behind? Seems a bit pointless, we need wingers or a LB more.

We've got Drury (injured) & White (****e but could redeem himself) at LB. Wouldn't say no to Warnock, right enough. Not convinced about this winger argument. Fine if you're crossing over to big men in the middle - but we don't have any! Would also prefer if we played 4-3-3 at home - no real need for wingers there. Away? We're normally 4-5-1, so it's diggers we need, not wingers. Again, wouldn't say no to a winger, but they're not as essential as everyone makes out. didn't england win the world cup without wingers?

I was of the opinion that we needed a striker even before Becchio left. Now that he's gone a replacement was crucial.

The way I see it is we need different options so we can rotate, options that bring something different to the table (quality). Nothing against Somma and Poleon but I havent seen them enough to be sure they have the required quality to step up (I just doubt Poleon is ready for this yet)

That would leave just Diouf and Ross up front. That works to a degree but both will need a break and someone to challenge them for a place. A target man like morison is a great acquisition.

Drury's out for two months, White is shocking (Spurs aside). Warnock is definitely welcome at LB otherwise Peltier will be back there <yikes>
Think we need at least one quality winger, if only to bring on as a game changer. If you watch say, Spain, if their passing game isn't working, they just throw Jesus Navas on to provide width and pace, and suddenly the opposition have something else to contend with. Our 'wide' options at the moment include Green and Tonge (2 CMs), an unproven League 2 winger in Hall, and White, who just runs around in circles. A quality winger would be a valuable option <ok>

I'll go along with that, Kiwi. It's not too far off what I was saying. It's the 'we play best with 2 wingers' brigade I'm really addressing.

Phil Hay is reporting that we only got around £200k plus Morison for LB.

I have to agree as well... We currently have no wide options apart from Hall, who hasn't done much for me yet.

Coming back to the Habibou point, Somma hasn't really played since a torrid year of injuries and we haven't tested him at this level either, so we can't guarantee his is a viable option yet and a big physical guy up top is a good option for us (although none if us know what Habibou is like in this league either tbf). Diouf sits further back I think too, linking play more than being a spearhead or out and out striker.

Phil Hay also said we where signing Dindane I would take what most journalists say with a pinch of salt although that Duncan Castles seems a top journalist ;)

Morison was very good for us in League 1 but pony in the Championship - scored 15 goals in his best ever Championship season but 6 of those were penalty's.

Think he has deteriorated since his move to Narwich, and I'll be suprised if he scores more than 14 in any season until Leeds are back in League 1 <ok>

Year after next as I think they'll just survive this season <ok>

Also noticed he's on £16k a week - just a little bit more than the £6k we were paying him then <laugh>

I would imagine the undisclosed fee to be somewhere between £200k and £400K - We were said to be holding out for offers over £2M for Becchio - Guess it depends on the Morrison value

Either way again it is a crock of ****e by Warnock saying even before Becchio handed in a request we were looking at Morrison BOLLOCKS were we.

Scored 17 in 43 games in his last Millwall season (CHAMPIONSHIP)and millwalls poor pay is the reason all your best players have left. You do pay league 1 wages and that's where your heading at great speed judging by you 2 wins from last 10 league games.

You got Morison because otherwise youd have been stuck with Becchio who wanted out and would have to pay his wages for nowt,,,, or youd have sold Becchio for peanuts to save his wage bill and bought in no one.
So a swap for Morison was your best option. Dress this up all you like but if you swapped Becchio for Morison plus a few k Norwich are laughing all the way to the bank.

Morison could turn into a very expensive Billy Paynter <laugh>
