NOOOOOOOOO Please i wanted him to join Reading!!!! The bloke is not interested. Hope this is a crap rumour
Read somewhere that every manager thinks he can get the best out of players other managers have failed with. Think Allardyce said it, in a rare moment of lucidity. Don't bite off more than you can chew Harold.
Thing is that might be ok if the player has proved something in his career, Arse shaving has always been lazy and gash whenever Ive seen him. Its not like Taarabt who was 20 or 21 when we got him Arsey is 31 or 32.
Harry on SSN said theyve done a deal with Spurs to split Townsends wages with us and he thinks its a good deal.
do you think we might make a last ditch to try get diame from hammers? as we are lacking good midfielders.
From Wales Online. """""""""""""""""" Swansea City are lining up a deadline day loan move for QPR's Jamie Mackie, WalesOnline understands. Swans boss Michael Laudrup is eager to replenish his frontline options after Danny Graham completed his £5m switch to Sunderland on Thursday morning. And it is believed Mackie is the surprise choice from the Capital One Cup finalists as the man they want to replace the Geordie. Mackie has seen his future at Loftus Road come under scrutiny as Harry Redknapp reshapes the R's squad, the 27-year-old touted as a potential sweetener in a deal to bring in Peter Crouch from Stoke. But that availability may have alerted Swansea who are keen to land a frontman with only Luke Moore and Itay Shechter on the books as out-and-out strikers to support top-scorer Michu. Mackie, who was yesterday named in Scotland's squad to face Estonia in their warm-up game before the World Cup qualifier with Wales next month, has hit just two goals this term. But he managed to grab eight last term in a struggling side after coming back from a broken leg, including one against the Swans in the 1-1 draw at the Liberty Stadium back in December. And his hard-working style and hold-up play could fit in to Laudrup's plans for his attacking options, with sources in London indicating Swansea could be set to make their move. The former Wimbledon, Exeter and Plymouth forward has featured regularly since Redknapp arrived in West London and Redknapp had gone public with saying he wanted the player to stay during the transfer window. Yet Swansea are likely to test that stance as they look to move quickly to replace Graham in the short-term. Laudrup had ruled out the possibility of a permanent move for any player in the closing stages of the window, a loan a potential means of providing a stop-gap solution before resuming attempts to land Spanish striker Iago Aspas in the summer. Samba interview on SSN shortly in case you don't have it on telly (like me, here in the middle of nowhere): http://www.viponlinesports.eu/football/97357/1/sky-sports-news-live-stream-online.html
TalkSport reckon word is from LR is that Peter Odeinwonga will be there later. Seems crouch deal is dead. Townsend deal broke down due to Levi wanting us to buy bentley/jenus as well. They now say the deal is back on for just Townsend
Im ok with the loan but he just wants us to take his crap. Hope we dont accept it. As for Odemwingie, it will be cheaper for us to get Hooper at £8m than Odemwingie at £4m when you take into account wages and sell on value.
Just looking at the picture in Finns signature....jeez Samba's a big sod isn't he...surprised we actually had a shirt that fitted him...... Thinking that there is not alot of tweeking to do to the lineup.....side that played tuesday with CS in for Ryan.....and instructions to play slightly higher up the pitch with a bit more attacking intent.....
