Okay, after the Danny Graham epic drama has been concluded now (talk sport still saying not done mind) with his signature on the dotted line, we can turn at last to the potential of others coming today.

Interestingly, when questioned just yesterday Mon said that several bids had gone in some time ago and on a 'few' targets and it was up to the selling clubs to agree to sell now.

I wonder if they were Graham back up targets, or were they additional ones.

Time is running out now and I'd be staggered if there were any significant signings. Maybe 1 more at best and that maybe a loan deal imo.

I think McGeady will sign as well.

I hope we get at least 2 more

My pal just rang to say David Craig says he is staying on wearside all day as has been told there are more to follow.

I think McGeady could be one of them too mate.

I suspect Marty will have been laying down the foundations for summer signings as much as trying to bring players in now. The price will always be higher at the end of January, so unless some clubs are realistic about what they want for any targets we have, I suspect we'l be trying again in five months' time.

Dennis Longhorn on twitter reckons there's more to come.

I know people have said he's not the most reliable but he did call the AJ one in the summer before anyone else.

Just been on SSN that Junior Hoilett was meant to be coming up today but that one has fallen through apparently.

Good, money grabber and showed no improvement in his game with QPR and has more importantly shown little fight when they are down the bottom

I thought it would just be Graham and reckon we have enough to see off the season. We aren't going to go down, challenge for europe or win a trophy. Plod through the rest of the season and 2 or 3 more quality players in the summer to continue the improvement.

Moyes took 4 years with Everton to get his team together, 15th and 17th were 2 of the places he finished when starting his project off.

Totally agree, not as if we have Cup games coming up or European! haha Our squad wont be stretched until the end of the season and I hate saying this but we probably are safe and will finish between 10th and 13th, oh what another mediocre boring season, only the derby to play for.

The summer has to be a time for investment, Danny Rose signed for LB, New RB, New CB, New CM, Poss new striker

The thing that does my nut in is the money spent and results shown. When you see clubs like Swansea and West Brom doing it on a shoe string, it nags me to be honest. Both them teams play good football and have very good technical players. After 6 years you would have thought we should have been a top 10 club by now, but we are still quite away from that in my eyes.

So Johnson, Fletcher, Rose, Graham, Mangane, NDiaye and Cuellar are not improvements? Really?

    This all in 13 months?

We are seeing the best from Mignolet, Cattermole and JOS

As for being miles off a top 10 position? Really. Have you actually looked at the league tables this week?

Reet let's pick the bones out of this..

    Fletcher, ok
    Rose not ours.
Graham..............i ****ing give up...now all of a sudden he;s an improvement...fickle or what.
Managane/N'Diaye...really we know **** all about them.
    Cuellar.....i ffs.

    3 transfer windows, yes 3...

Seeing the best from Mig, Catts, JOS......Really?...............Mig one of the best in the league...the other two have been bit parts, due to injuries etc.

    Ask yourself this question..

Are we really any further on, than 2 years ago?

    Yes. Because, IMO,

    1. he's only really had 2 windows, the first was upon him before he figured out what he had to work with. I'd rather he did that than a 'QPR'.
    2. We do have better quality players who will stay, play and fight for the cause. Our best players from 2 years ago were either loanees, wanabees or money grabbing ****s. There's only 2 players I would have back: Welbeck and Hendo, and that ain't gonna happen.
    3. MIG and Catts have vastly improved under MON. Mig was probably always going to, but Catts (injuries aside) has become a far, far better player.
    4. I only see us moving steadily up the table, rather than flattering to deceive. It's not sexy, but I have more confidence in prolonged improvement than, well ever before.

Let's see how Graham, N'Diaye and Mangane pan out....+ the summer season changes.
