beating up illiterates will not get you to heaven Hornette check out recent jokes on the joke thread ,BB and I have had another joke off....(I said joke off lol)
Being a teacher, I find that word games are an important part of my 'armoury' & I use them every day - scrabble, taboo, categories, crosswords, word mines, anagrams, rebus, hangman - I've even created a spreadsheet that produces sudokus using words. All really good learning aids. Funny really - not so long ago school inspectors frowned upon such frivolities in the classroom, nowadays you are revered if you utilise them
Primary school, so I'm a jack of all trades, master of none . Usually get 'saddled' with the upper stages, where attitude and hormones make life interesting!
Actually that is probably the age where teaching is best - before the kids have developed a "you will not teach me at any cost" attitiude and covering a wide range of subjects and issues is more interesting for you. Notlob was from Monty Python - think palindromes or rather semordnilap
