We are slightly more likely to get him than Messi I think. I said it because it's a thread about Birmingham players and he's the only one that would excite me. Sheesh.
Well I'm sure we'd all like him, but you said it was feasible that we could pay £4 million for him paying him 20k a week and by you saying that you wouldn't want to be on the bench if you were him I'm pretty sure that indicates you thought we would have a chance of getting him. Westy found this amusing. I thought it was very unrealistic to put it mildly you then started saying Westy was talking crap and then me a plank. For all the good things you say Lancs you come out every once in a while with some crackers!!!!
Stoke have put a bid in of £4m. So my valuation was BANG ON THE MONEY and proves that others who shall remain nameless are idiots for their comments on this thread! Thank you! <smugmode>
The no1 priority is bringing in DJ and I can't see Evans stumping up the spondulies to get him let alone £4 Million for a keeper! To be honest I am starting to worry about where the goals are going to come from as we cant seem to score more than one a game!
Couldnt agree with that more JWM. Panic mode may be setting in. Oh and it looks like Lancs wants to borrow your Red Dwarf avator!
Lancs I'm not sure anyone was saying you were stupid to say his valuation was £4million, that was probably the most sain part of your replies!! It was the rest of it which went a bit deluded!!
Agree either that or we'ree gonna have to give Chopra a run of games (sorry tractorbhoy!!). The only players who we've had at the club this season who I would say could be regular goalscorers are Chopra, DJ and Scotland. I think McGoldrick and Nouble are/will be decent enough but where are the goals going to come from?? Very dissapointed we let Scotland goal especially after seeing his goal the other night, absolute class!!
So you should be sorry!. The bigger issue is that take away the fact that away from the pitch I think he is waste of space, on the pitch he hasnt done anything to suggest he deserves to be there. He keeps claiming to be our 20 goal a season saviour and experiences at past clubs suggests he should be. We initially gave him leeway as we said he wasnt getting the service required but DJ seemed to have coped well with our useless support players. We all moan that Martin and JET have failed to live up to expectations but Chopra, based on his track record previously is for me probably our biggest failure during the ME era.
We are going in circles here Lancs?? The whole Ipswich could quite easily pay £4 million and offer him 20k a week and because he wanted first team football, it's not beyond the realms of possibility that we would get him, I think that's the bit people were saying is slightly deluded!! Not the fact you'd pay £4 million for him!! Tractorbhoy, I agree he certainly hasn't helped himself but he does show glimpses of his former self and particularly the second half of last season he looked decent. A major part of the problem why he hasn't performed (aside from the personal problems) was PJ playing him as a lone striker when if there's anyone not suited to it its him. He really would be much better in a 442 with a big man next to him. I know you think he's a waste of space (some may say justifiably) but he certainly has talent and he has the best movement out of all of our strikers and is probably the best finisher. Which is either why we should probably use him or lose him. If we lose him we need someone else in though, especially after loosing Scotland!!
