Classy centre half/libero to marshall our ridiculous defence.
Even though SOD's tactical awareness has made a difference, i'm afraid Louis and Fonts just dont instill much confidence and I am forever waiting for the wheels to fall off.
I can see SOD making big changes to our defensive strategy over the summer, and I dont envisage either player featuring very much next season, if at all.
Louis has been a great servant of the club, and will be regarded alongside such as Merrick and Tins in retrospect, but when a player gets to 35 he cannot expect to play every game, nor be the base upon which to build a defence.
Carey may play on for a few more years yet, but less and less by necesity.

Fonts ? Well we should have snatched Southampton's cash when we had the chance

YES - CB is the big need.
RM - use Foster there if Albert leaves. Not so good going forward but has good pace and a better defender than Albert. Or Wes Burns
CM - Kelly will be OK there.
ST - Wes Burns ? plus A.N.Other with height.

So to summarise, it CB's that we need!

BBC Sport West's Caroline Chapman: "Albert Adomah's agent has told BBC Radio Bristol that he does not expect the winger to leave Bristol City during the window.

"The Ghana international has been the subject of two unsuccessful bids from Crystal Palace and also attracted interest from Bolton while he has been playing in the Africa Cup of Nations.

"The Ghana international has been the subject of two unsuccessful bids from Crystal Palace and also attracted interest from Bolton while he has been playing in the Africa Cup of Nations.

"Agent Tony Finnigan said: "I don't think he'll be gone, that's my opinion. If you're in South Africa how, realistically, can he sign for any club?

"What could happen is that when the loan window is open he could agree a deal with a purchase price at the end of it. But Albert isn't seeking to leave Bristol City."

We wouldn't loan him. There would be bloody uproar if that happened. We need Adomah. He will be a big part in our quest for survival

I think Carey will retire soon. At 35 he must suffer after some games and any injuries take longer and longer to heal.

But fair play to him, he's been a great ambassador for the club in an era where the word loyalty seems to mean nothing. I'll even forgive him going to Coventry....!

I have a very strange feeling that we may not get involved at all today. Obviously we all want the long saga of a midfield general sorted out but, unless dealings are being kept quiet and under wraps, I suspect that our finances might be a major issue against bringing in new talent.

We will soon find out if Sean has some aces up his sleeve and time is running out.

Kilmarnock midfielder Lee Johnson has left the Ayrshire club. The 31-year-old Englishman joined the Scottish Premier League side on a two-and-a-half year contract in February after leaving Bristol City.

    Come to Daddy at Yeovil?

I really hope LJ doesn't go to Yeovil. By all accounts LJ has been phenomenal in Scotland and had Celtic looking at him. Moving to Yeovil will only put him back under the same kind of abuse he was under from our fans.

The only signing we'll be involved in today will be whether Crystal Palace decide to offer a real bid for Adomah. Anything less than £1.5M is criminal, and if we accept anything less than that I'll have real worries about our financial future under this board. We REALLY need a new defender, but Lansdown won't spend.

If I was lansdown I would tell SoD personally to get a defender in TODAY. Its all very well SoD saying give everyone a chance but del did that last season and even said Fontaine could play at any level! They're fooling SoD, We've got the same 2 CB's since we've been in the championship for god sake. Something has to change

Rumours up here in Swindle is that we are after their striker Andy Williams.
I can't see it myself but that's what the Swindon fans are saying.
