Read some posts about getting rid, well not for me, go up Hylton road, get to the Plaza/Kyall road crossroads, look to your left, see what quinnie has imputtted in Sunderland, where sucsessive governments didnt, all for kids. that was point one

Bob Murrey left this club in safe hands,,,,,,,,,, that was point two

Quinnie brought in Drummerville then Ellis Short,,,,,,,,,, are we still in the game so far?

fans were not allowed on a flight from The Smoke to Sunderland if you like,,,,Quinnie paid for taxis about eight grand I believe.

    downside
    --------
Quinnie is a loyal bloke, unfortunately, takes his trust a bit too far, godblesshim, but he does, ,,, Roy Keano,,,,,,,,,read both biographys quinnies/keanos.

Brucie aint got it, and you all know my views on him, but to want Quinnie out, no way,,,, I admit, Quinnie is too good/too nice for his own good.in this market place, cut and thrust, being devious and back stabbing, just aint him

BUT TO WANT HIM OUT,,,,,,,,,,,YOUR PERSONAL, BUT NOT MINE.

Agreed. We'd be mad to get rid of Quinn.

I agree, but there's a surprising few seeming to say the opposite.

I want what is best for my club. Quinn is lovely - lovely, but is he savvy? Is he hard business? Love him as much as the next man, but no. We need better, harder. Sorry. Just my sad opinion. I.m gutted at my thoughts but they are what they are. I want success for SAFC, not niceness and a lovey-dovey place to be. We need hard nosed business acumen to go with Short's potential. Take of the tinted glasses lads and lasses. Lets get hard.

I have had 1 or 2 words to say today, i never said i wanted him out, but by some on here he is seen as godlike and cant do no wrong, the bloke is only human, and we dont know what goes on behind the scenes, but i bet even Quinn has made some blunders since he has been with us. To say he is infallable and blameless as well as Short is just silly if you ask me.

In business, tell me, who advises a chairman? No. Sorry. I think i'm committing suicide on this forum, but Quinn isn't up to the job. I have thought long and hard before posting this. Quinn and Bruce have to go for us to move forward. Quinn is too nice and loyal. Bruce inept and supported by Quinn. Sorry

Quinnie is the face of SAFC,,,,,,,,,,, maybe not a businessman, that help can come from Ellis Short, because he is, and will hopefully recognise that Quinnie has not got that bit of ruthlessness, but as a figurehead, who is better than quinnie?

Of course I don't want the big fella to go but to be honest, I find myself in the strange position that if he did, I wouldn't be as gutted as I would have a year ago. Quinny is a great man. Universally loved by EVERY true SAFC fan for sure but his unbreakable shiny veneer has been cracked in my opinion this season. He has started to show signs that the position is getting to him.

    1) The ridiculous and offensive attack on the stay away fans was a huge error in judgement IMO. Instead of concentrating on the 40,000 average crowd of hardy fools (me included), he focused on the missing 5,000 or 6,000 'sensible' supporters, who just refuse to pay to watch what has been absolute ****e at times at home this season. Quinn normally has his finger on the pulse of sentiment but I think he got this one completely wrong.

    2) He has been far too loyal to a failing manager. He backed Keane as he kicked sand in his face and backed Bruce despite the worst form in the whole EPL (that after supplying all the money SB asked for for 2 years)

    3) He has allowed Bruce to sell Bent for personal reasons to the detriment of the club. DB left the club on Bruce's direct order and a back me or I'll go ultimatum.

    4) Offered a contract to SB BEFORE the end of the season which is not the professional thing to do at all. A new contract could have waited until next month. Bruce wasnt going anywhere and he isn't on the top of anyone's wanted list either.

    5) Runs the club like a fan not a Chairman of a huge company. It may lead to a great affection between club and fans but is it the professional approach? Top, top clubs are run by total bastards that are not afraid to make difficult but necessary decisions. Bruce wouldn't have survived the last 15 games of ****e performances and results at ANY other club in the EPL and for me, I no longer carry the mantle for our current manager at all. He is finished in my eyes.

I don't want Quinny to go but if he did along with Bruce, it wouldn't be the disaster we may all think either. I could never have imagined myself admitting that 12 months ago.

I agree with a lot of your points, but dont see the solution of Quinnie out as being an option, as other posters do, and as you know Cest...........I have wanted Bruce out for a long time, but been shouted down, some of those shouters are now posting,,,,,,BRUCE OUT,,,,, now how strange is that?

Amsterdam, Bill. This is business. It is important to kill or be killed. Quinn has to go. So does Bruce. Sorry, but it is only business. Nothing personal.

I agree that Niall Quinn came along at just the right time to stop us from going into oblivion.

However, he has a definitive timeline as to how long he will remain an asset to the club and not become a liability. He operates as a chairman/fan which makes him popular but is it effective or the right way to go for the club?

His outburst against a minority section of fans was out of order IMO. He should be grateful that over 40,000 turn out on average every game when to be honest, some of the fare served up at times has been bloody awful.

Quinn has to understand that it is the job of the club to make the product attractive enough that will fill out the SOL and for too many years now its been ****ty at best. I don't think Bruce will ever have the ability to play the attractive football or indeed the effective football required to fill that order and for supporting him to the hilt, NQ is in danger of going down with him.

Cest quick point mate didn't Niall have a go at stay away fans when the club was doing well! IMO he was right to do so. As for the test I've already posted on another thread. Getting dick of this and think I might stay away from the board for awhile.

Staying away would be pointless - you can't put your argument across then, can you? Better to be inside pisssing out!

Why do ppl think the PL is easy.

Stoke have spent 70 million in 3 years
Bolton 70 million in 5 years
Spurs 424 million in 7 years (even i didnt expect that sum lol)
Fulham 98 million in 5 years
Everton 117 million in 7 years
Liverpool 370 miilion in 7 years
Newcastle 186 million in 7 years (only this and last year you didnt spend much 17 million the past 2 years)
Sunderland 152 million in 5 years

difference is, we just got promoted, those have been in the PL a lot longer (apart from stoke) than us and have pretty settled sides. and the same manager for the most part Everton/Stoke anyway.
