I really hope QPR get relegated - that would serve them right for paying 100k a week to one player. Although there must be a relegation release clause in his contract for significantly less than they paid for him.
amen to that! - i think 95% of the footballing world wants this. i'd love to see their next set of accounts. we've got them on saturday at loftus rd, i hope they have so many new players in the team they will be un-gelled. good performance last night btw lads
PLeeeeeeeeease give them a thrashing! I think of all the teams near the bottom, apart from us, Norwich are the team I least want to go down, and QPR the most.
Redknapp's really being shown up as the hypocrite he is now isn't he? Said all that stuff about not wanting to spend the chairman's money and then consigns them to years of debt in two easy steps. Remy and Samba between them are going to be on more than the average championship squad!
Giving Harry Redknapp an unlimited wage and transfer budget is like driving a pyromaniac to a gasoline depot and giving them a box of matches; it's all going to go up in flames, and most of the blame lies with the person who encouraged the behaviour. If Tony Fernandes didn't want his fortune spent in an afternoon, he should learn the word 'no'.
we'll do our best chilco - although to be fair to them, they are due a win over us - i don't think they have beaten NCFC for 3 seasons. £100k p/w for Samba?!
You can understand when such a respected figure as Harry gives you the hard sell saying "if you don't spend this money we'll go down" the chairman will relent. He has to take the lion's share of responsibility in my opinion.
I don't mind watching 'Arry spend all this guys money & putting the clubs future in jeopardy, but its the way he goes about it that I find bizarre. He states that they won't be doing much business in the window, he ridiculed Mark Hughes for signing players on massive contracts, then goes and signs players on even bigger contracts! Madness. Someone really needs to pull Tonys pants back up, & quick!
But one has to take into consideration the tendencies of one's hires. When you hire Harry Redknapp, you have to know that he's going to try to buy thirty-seven new players, each earning the GDP of Nauru. Caveat emptor.
He offered me 20k p/w, but called back to cancel the deal after discovering that the PL will only let you issue jerseys numbered 1-99, and they were already allotted.
they've been one for a couple of seasons now yes i think bechio is an improvement on morrison; not convinced he is a PL player though. we are still after Hooper or someone else as well today
