That makes no sense to me, if he's had an illness or whatever, he shouldn't be on the bench as he's clearly not 100% fit.
Maybe Luke told him "I'm fine honestly" - but with Luke being 17 and facing Wigan on Saturday he popped him on the bench. Seemed clear as soon as Nani began a warm-up that Luke was coming on. Good thinking IMO.

Well if he had a cold its not exactly gonna kill him, clearly wasnt that bad but its all about utilizing your squad, when he came on he did a job, probably would be a bit fatigued naturally from an illness

I didn't watch the highlights but watched the whole game. We were very impressive in every aspect of our play.... except creating clear cut chances which is mainly what they like to show on the highlights. Our final ball was poor on too many occasions, and we are not clinical enough and that could be our undoing. Still, a very good performance. Just need to play to that level against the teams around us. Pressurise like we did today and we will force opposition into mistakes.
I saw that too - gives me a warm feeling those rumours were baseless. Would never have made sense anyway, not that that normally makes a difference...
