That is the first time I've ever got both mystery guests on QoS. Heikki and Rebecca Adlington.

To be honest it would be logical for McLaren to become a works team, that's probably the reason why Lewis left and said he would like to return at a later date. 3-4 years down the line McLaren might just well be a full works team.

If they did become a works team then you'd assume the backers would want to insert some of their guys into the team. A pre-emptive reshuffle may be on the cards.

Oh goodie, another Seb bashing topic thanks to Helmut being unable to shut his mouth for once and another reason to add on the 101 "facts" why Webber gets screwed over and why Seb always has an "advantage" *yawn*...

Let's look at it objectively, Newey directs the course for the car, not Helmut, not Seb, not Horner, not Webber and sure as hell not DM for that matter. Sebs job is to drive the car as fast as he can and give feedback to the designers. Seems the most logical clue to masses, seem illogical! Ron tried being a control freak with Newey and they failed, Helmut would be borderline insane to try and screw with the technical department which is doing a far better job than the youth programme...

Can't wait for the book in my opinion.

In all likely hood the reason why Helmut is certainly more hostile to Webber than Seb is because he wants Vergne/Ricciardo/Da Costa to replace him as the other driver and try to make a Seb mark 2. Since it's Horner who really makes the shots within the team he wants to keep Webber, same situation with Newey, he wants more experienced drivers rather than a "few season drivers" which is understandable.

Maybe (we don't really know) they (Horner, Newey, Helmut) vote on what driver they want beside Seb. It'a kind of obvious that Helmut will go for one of his products but Horner and Newey would want to keep Webber, so they out vote him 2-1. Unless Webber does really **** like in 2011 or Ricciardo/Vergne/Da Costa do something very unique, his job would likely be saved for another 1-2 years. If you don't see Ricciardo or Vergne get on the podium this year expect to see a Da Costa/Frijns(Nasr) lineup in 2014. Frijns in particular considering he is looking desperate already to get into F1 and that he is getting zero testing at Sauber. He might dislike the IRBR youth program but so far it's looking like his only option in my opinion.

Horner has extended with IRBR until 2017! http://www.sport1.de/de/formel1/formel1_teams/artikel_668933.html

No news about Seb extending though.

    Condition for renewal with Vettel
The long-term retention of the two Britons to Red Bull is a prerequisite that the world champion Vettel extended his contract beyond 2014.

"The fundamentals that should ensure that Sebastian continued to feel comfortable with us, are created**," said Marko.

**So I guess Newey has already signed with IRBR again?

Indeed, it now depends on how long Seb signs for now. Nvm Hulk or future Bottas would be more than enough firepower to dominate the season in the future if Nico is unable to keep up with Lewis.

Wbber whining, that's a non-story, he's just getting his excuses as to why he's going to fail to even secure 2nd depsite having the best and most reliable car for the past 3 seasons. Fact is everything Helmut says about Webber is true, he's a choke artist, that's why his only championship win to date is a state Karting champinship back in the 80's.

Miggins, normally I don't respond to your Webber-bile but in this case I'll bite; What the hell is Webber whinging about now? He was specifically asked that question and gave a very simple one-sentence answer, nowhere near the level of BS he's had to put with from Marko. It's not as if he was urging to have a go (especially given the comment was made at the start of the month and we're only just hearing about it now) at it or wanted to linger on the subject anyway.

Fact is, every time Webber's name comes up about anything you feel the need to somehow portray it in a negative light. You ever think of coming onto this forum one day and thinking "You know what, I might actually contribute something positive for once"?

So you don't think someone publicly stating 'there's an agenda against me at the highest level of my team' isn't a whinge? The guy does nothing but whinge and whine and make up "oh woe is me" stories that suckers buy into.

Very brave by Marussia if that is true. Razia is talented no doubt but having 2 former GP2 drivers for next season is a big risk.

We knew not to expect great things when Glock was replaced, but even by general pay driver standards Razia's record is poor. 2nd in GP2 but only thanks to 4 years of experience and even he rarely impressed outside of the reverse grid sprint races. Would have chosen Petrov or Senna over him from the pay driver list. Shame. All that progress from Marussia in the back half of 2012 has been undone with a Razia-Chilton line up.

If I'm lucky all the recent GP2 drivers get destroyed by their team mates or nearest rivals.

    Razia, Chilton, Esteban in particular!

At least you could say that Grosjean and Maldonado have something decent to give, but I just have this weird feeling that I want both Finns to kick their asses BADLY!
