Giroud scored tonight in case you missed it <ok> and he's got a hatful of goals in the last few games too.

The chance he scuffed at the end though was painful, although it came at him through Agger's legs, so he had a split second to react.

That was my read of the game. We outplayed them for vast periods, but they got a couple of lucky bounces and, fair play to them, their strikers put the ball away.

But, in my opinion, in 10 games like that, we would win 8 of them.

Just watching the replay and it actually came off of Agger and behind Giroud.

    Good defending.

I wouldnt say the Liverpool goals were lucky, they were down to our poor defending

    Good thing
Is we didn't lose and momentum is important. The comeback will also give some confidence

Sloppy defending cost us again tonight. We simply HAVE to defend better. Extra training sessions and more homework, got to do better.

On current form, even a CB pairing of Squillaci and Djourou would be less embarrassing. At least we expect them to be crap.

We lost 2 points to Everton. That's hardly momentum.

And we didn't lose. And yes we lost 2 points to Everton, but they are still sighing striking distance.

Not sure what's happened to Vermaelen, i know we overrated him a but when he first joined but he never used to do things like Liverpool's first goal.
He's making howlers every week at the moment..

The first one wasn't clever defending, I''ll grant you although if Sagna hadn't slipped it would have been a non-event. The second, the defending was fine, 4 round the ball and a double rebound perfectly into the path of the attacker beating the keeper. I don't see how you can plan against that happening.

One thing is certain. We really need to sign someone tomorrow. 3 players would be good. A DM (Ramsey didn't work today), A LB (If Gibbs is out for a while, we need someone) and a striker (David Villa) would be a good day.

Thank **** for that. Everton the only clear winner tonight, and I'm not worried about them.
