Much, much better after Holtby came on, but that first half performance was totally unacceptable and it's 2 points dropped, for me. Levy needs to do some work tomorrow.
We couldn't beat a team which has been getting beaten regularly just recently. Total rubbish, they're 14th and we only scored one. That's 0 1 1 1 in the last four matches. Do we need a win and soon and to replace Defoe who missed two good chances.
Poor 70 minutes. Holtby came on and added a creative spark that got us going. Bale hit an absolute worldy of a goal, while Bunn ended up making a worldy of a save to deny Sigurdsson. Content to take a point but had we performed like we did in the last 20 minutes throughout the whole match, we'd have had all 3 points without a shadow of a doubt. The need for a top striker was also very evident. We can't always rely on Bale to hit goals like that.
Last half an hour was excellent, it showed the pace, skill and attacking intent that was sorely missing in the first half. Bale scored his 2nd goal at Carrow Road which has involved running half the pitch and ghosting past defenders on the way to the box where he finishes a move of individual brilliance. Top goal. Credit to Norwich though for playing well and defending well in the latter stages. Thankfully we stay 4th despite the poor performance overall but that shouldn't cover up what was another poor game for Defoe and a game where our whole team were woeful for long periods. What difference could a proper number 9 have made in those last minutes when we putting in the diagonal balls. Graham not looking like a bad shout now, eh?
Not saying anything new here, but Defoe has always been inconsistant as has Ade. how can we expect to finish well with these two as our only options? I was hoping LH would be the link up man Siggy was supposed to be, from the sounds of it.

Both subs did well, but Parker was particularly poor, Dempsey was anonymous and we still don't have enough options up top. 3-1 to Fulham.
Those were the matches we lost last year during that bad run...like Norwich, QPR, so I guess that's something
One point more than we deserved. This season's pattern: forward as we started pressing more and more effectively, and now backward as teams started, first, sitting back and counting on our lack of cutting edge, and now pressing us themselves--with the difference that they're defending in numbers and we aren't. As ****e as this was, and as much as I would have agreed with all the draconian punishments the team deserved, I'm feeling a lot less miserable with the point and a bit of a comeback at the end.
