I notice that you've really gone on the offensive since I revealed I was a big Kubrick fan. Are you ashamed to have something in common with a man brave enough to use naughty words like 'black'?
Agreed here also, dread to think what would have happened if they never ended up buying us. I reckon the whole thing about the money coming out of his budget will only apply if we don't go up, i imagine them giving him more if we are promoted so we can strengthen properly for the PL
Which is good, however if we dont get promoted, how many of those do you actually think we will replace, with FFP coming in, I dont think it will be many. We will look thread bare again.
Fantastic to see we're giving ourselves a better chance of promotion. I was worried this transfer window would end up being a damp squib, particularly with the shaky DJ situation, the week of near silence with the Egyptian lads, the summer budget thing and Bruce's recent comments. When you step back and look objectively at what's happened since they took over, the Allams have given us all plenty of reason to have more faith in the club. Long gone are the days and ways of the Duffman. I can still understand why people might be sceptical about the Allams... mainly because it sometimes seems that they're to good to be true... I'm honestly not 100% sold but definitely can't complain about much when you look at the facts, ie what has actually happened. If there's no DJ coming in, maybe a nice little surprise on deadline day? It'd be nice to be involved in the deadline day scramble for a change without it being entirely vital that we bring someone in. Good stuff.
All Hail the heroic Allams who not only save the football club I love AND blew millions on players and wages , they have also given millions to good causes all over the place. Some of the **** thrown at them was ****ing insane . IF we don't go up it won't be for the want of trying . They are without doubt the best owners we have ever had . and to think they really didn't have to lift a finger to even give the Club 1p or any of the good causes they have donated to... AFTER ALL.... no one else gave a **** when we needed the cash to survive .. Statue to Assem Allam . Hopefully one day they will own the stadium and take us up to a higher level... Assem and Ehab Allams Black and Amber Army.
Are you the one who posts on HDM with all that Allam stuff, thought maybe it was somebody working for him. Maybe he will give you a job with all your nice comments everywhere! I'm like some of the others a bit sceptical really, its not impossible that they could leave us completely mired in the future. Can't complain now but business is business with these people.
The money they have invested is a hell of a lot, what they would get back wouldn't cover what they have invested, if people still think they are only in it for a quick buck, then there are many quicker & easier ways to do it than invest in a football club, the only way they can walk away will be to sell it on, all the money is tied up within the club. So if someone else bought it, not forgetting the economy is still not strong & football clubs are a huge financial headache, they would need to invest heavily to make anything out of it for themselves.
Everything they have done for the club has worked out right. IF all they cared about was making money they would be nuts to buy a football club .. Yup iv supported them from day one .. When everyone was going off it regarding the sacking of Nick Barmby I posted fans would be dancing in the stadium come may when we got promoted on the HDM site .. It's not just the Football club the Allams have helped is it .. And yup I do or did use to post pro Allam Stuff on the HDM site .. I don't even think Assem cares about getting ALL his money Back , would be good if he gets some back though and the only way they will do that is IF we go up . In my opinion they NEED promotion more then we do... Just my view of course...
Hull University research centre / and the Castle Hill Daisy Appeal one day just maybe they will find stuff to help cancer patients from Hull have better options.. Anyway....I just think Assem Allam is one of those rare people who doesnt always think "whats in it for me" And he has proved that in many ways over the years.
I suppose its easy to be cynical about things sometimes given our history over the years, hopefully the Allams will never let us down like most of our owners. The signing of Bruce Daddy has been very positive.
