    Burns you tease!

After all this panic, it seems they're going to deliver Campbell after all, plus the Egyptions AND possibly some Brucey Bonuses.

    How exciting.

Lots of rumours flying round. Our latest on #hcafc Campbell likely by midday, EBB likely to be loan (as are Egyptians) but not met player.

Are we going to do a West Ham and sign every striker who will come to us? Geddo, DJ and SEB? That would be decent business for this window and give us plenty of options up top.

I would be astonished if we signed all of those. Surely we won't...

Poor deal from our point of view. He won't score the goals we need, he'll be on too long a contract for my liking, and his wage demands will no doubt be met out of sheer panic.

Ebanks-Blake not on agenda now. Told was not full blown bid but enquiry and price too rich. #hcafc

Not sure why, I'd guess that the fee they want will be very similar to DJ's as will the wages, if not less.

Well on Tuesday night he didn't even make the bench for QPR. It might not be surprising when you consider they had Zamora and Bothroyd (who scored at the weekend) on the bench and just Remy up front, but they did choose to name 2 goalkeepers on the bench rather than naming Campbell.

Since McCarthy ruled Ipswich out early on (and then signed McLean and McGoldrick the next day) because Campbell was set to sign a 3 year contract, and then Palace have lost interest because of the terms we're offering I can see a massive agents fail in this. Can easilly see them having tried to get a 31/2 year contract by telling McCarthy he'd already been offered one in the hope they'd match it and we'd all be forced to. Instead McCarthy went and switched his attention elsewhere. Then they were left with us and Palace both offering 2 1/2 year deals and tried to up Palace's wage offer by playing them against what we could offer to try and start an auction. Instead Holloway seems to be looking elsewhere, so they're left unable to make the bench at QPR ahead of a 3rd keeper and with just our 2 1/2 year contract on the table.
