Are there any strikers not been suggested yet?! http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2270807/Kevin-Phillips-sign-Hull.html
come on, I'd take Phillips until the end of the season on a short deal.. nothing wrong with 39 year olds if they know where the goal is.. plus he can work with Simmo & Prossy and bring them on..
Could be a canny move until end of season. Bags of experience and the missing bit of nouse in and around the box. Wins free kicks and basically hangs around the 6 yard line waiting to stick his foot out. I would be ok with this.
He scored after 2 mins of coming on when he came with Bpool earlier this season. Anticipation, positioning, instinct don't diminish. Sure- footed too. Contrasts favourably with all our present strikers.
Erm....2008 Dean Windass??? Defo get Phillips in even if he just sits on the bench, how many golas has he scored when coming on as a sub???? Very good signing if it happend.
He knows where the goal is, Would be good until the end of the season, Gets us a few goals, even if he doesn't get a full game most of the time as long as he gets the goals he'll do for us.
Spot on ^^^ this. Fox in the box. We have the platyers to do the leg work and Phillips knows how to put the round thing in the net. Short term deal is a no brainer imo. Gets my vote. media reports suggest that The Posh will bid just £75k for Port Vales Tom Pope. If thats true offer £100k and get him in.
Yes get him in. His game is perfect for us. He's also the kind of man that wouldn't sign if he didn't think he could do a job.
BBC Humberside Sport ‏@HumbersideSport We understand reports suggesting Hull City are signing Kevin Phillips are untrue. He could be bound for Crystal Palace. #hcafc ...We must be signing him then!
Phillips is a legend at this level, even now. You can bring him on at 80 minutes if you have to and he'll still have an impact in that amount of time.
