As an aside George Boyd looks like he has signed for Palace with minimal fuss and yet we baulked at his personal terms in the summer. He would have been the creative midfielder we have been crying out for all season!
It has come to something when we hope that there are 3 teams worse than us in this league! Just goes to show how far we have sunk!
As always nobody knows what has gone on behind the scenes but from the outside looking in it doesn't make much sense. Even if Marcus has saved some cash by paying (for arguments sake) half of Scotlands contract up, he is now spending more than he saved on loan players wages to replace him.
I just can't stand Peterboro! What Mick needs to instill is the art of hanging on to a lead with our group, as stated before if we would have hung to to every winning position we have had this season we would be in the top 2! that is an incredibly frustrating statistic!
Have to say i agree with the opinion that we released Scotland over Ellington because Scotland wanted to go first team football and was probably pretty confident of getting a contract at another club whereas Ellington isn't!! I could understand more so letting Scotland go if we would have got DJ but then I think it would've been handy to have a player of his quality around if he was needed. And if we were to know he would go to one of our relegation rivals surely we should've just accepted the loan enquiry we would got for him from Notts County a month or so ago!! Agree Leadbitter will no doubt play a blinder, but he is a good player someone who we could really do with atm, things just didn't work out for us or him in his time here. I also am feeling slightly deflated and I think we will be okay but not as sure as I was. As I've said I think Micks strengths are also his weaknesses, i.e doing things simple and he got us organised and made sure we will always be in with a chance of winning the game, and having a striker like DJ certainly helps when you get the basics right. But now we don't really have a goalscorer or creativity in midfield, so no wonder we are finding it hard. As I've said sometimes I find Mick's management frustrating because I believe he is a really good manager but he's too stubborn and too set in his ways. I think we could be much more creative with a change or formation and personel and not just sticking with a 442, he doesn't take many risks!

I agree that sometimes we need a bit of flexability with our formation, perhaps using JET more as he is a player who can on his day scare the **** out of defenders when running at them with the ball.
JET is a bit of a mystery. Undoubtedly has talent but seems not the attitude to match. Agree he can make things happen in flashes, but that's all it is. If only he put the work in he could be a blinding player but I can see him drifting into obscurity if he doesn't step up soon. Either that or we will pay him off, he goes to another team in our league and he scores ten goals in his first fourteen games for them.
I genuinely believe that JET will end up playing in the Premier League. Not necessarily based on his performances for us, but (as often the case) a player leaves us and then goes on to perform better and achieve their potential.. And JET has buckets of potential and I just hope Mick and Terry have the patience and ability to get it out of him
He is a weird one, He has the body of a target man yet the skill of someone who should be playing just off a target man.
