McCoy left spread eagled on top of the first fence in the first at Leicester having being deposited there by the favourite. Bet he'll get some **** of the other jocks for the rest of the day.
2.40 Ludlow On The Off Chance 7/1 Keeping this one short and despite the drift being a little disconcerting, I think On The Off Chance looks to have been let in on what I feel could be a rather lenient handicap mark of 105. A half sister to the talented pair of Cantlow and Darkness, On The Off Chance was sent off a warm order 6/4 favourite on her racecourse debut over hurdles when disappointing and her 2nd start wasn't much better but she was in the process of running a big race on her last start last month over an extended 2m3f when making a final flight tumble in what would of been some decent form up against the boys. The winner Abruzzi ran a fine race in a Novice Hurdle under a penalty when finishing 3rd which has earned him a rating of 126 whilst the 2nd Up To Something has finished 2nd behind Puffin Billy in a Grade 2 (no chance with the easy winner) and finishing well clear of the 3rd. On The Off Chance goes up against her own sex today which should be very beneficial as should be her first foray into handicap company stepped up in trip. This represents a weak event she is pitched into and based on her breeding you'd be disappointed if she wasn't good enough to run a big race off a mark of 105. Based on the first two races at Ludlow, it looks extremely testing conditions that will take some getting and lot of her half siblings stayed 3m or further which definitely looks a big plus. Richie McLernon takes the ride on what is his only mount of the day and this is the only horse that the in form Jonjo O'Neill send to Ludlow where he has a 21% strike rate with his hurdlers. If all goes to plan, I'm quietly confident that On The Off Chance will take a significant amount of beating today.
Not at all just my fancies I have no connections but have a few friends who do ..... I ain't nobodies fool
Oh Dear. Tbh I always see him as a big negative when his name appears after a horse. Before anyone starts mentioning his GN win it is worth remembering that Brod Munro-Wilson rode a winner at the Festival...!! Never nice to slate jocks but does anyone have a particular pilot that provokes indecision when punting?
Cheers gents, anyone joined me on the hopeful punt for the festival? Anyone got the Betfair odds of the NH chase now? Very tidy performance, a novice to follow and I think he will continue to improve. I like him a lot.
Good call Nass, makes up for the fall earlier sadly I lumped on that and not yours, never mind good call
