Hopefully sorted ourselves out a bit, but I see this and the weekend as an end to our Europa league chances, let alone Champions league. 2-1 to Arsenal.
I said in a recent thread that the Norwich, Arsenal and then City games will be key to our season we need to win them all imo. Norwich went our way now the Arsenal game has to. No easy task to get a win at the Emirates but with them also having a tough time it would be great if we could take advantage.
A win would be superb, a draw a decent result too.. However, I can't see us getting anything out of this game, a loss by the odd goal me thinks (hope I'm wrong).
After last night's result, I can see us beating both L'Arse and citeh, the latter result handing the PL to the scum on a silver platter
If City are going to play like yesterday they don't deserve our points and they won't make a difference.
This weekend is the perfect time to play City. Kompany, Nastatic (im not 100% on this), Richards and Maicon injured. Kolo Toure away at the cup of nations.
Arsenal season ticket holder and journalist Nick Callow provides the view from the Emirates ahead of our clash with the Gunners. How are you feeling ahead of this one? Pessimistically optimistic. We are capable of beating and losing to any side these days. Always hope and expect to win, but it is hard to know if the players have got the wit to put it all together on a consistent basis. Thoughts on your gaffer? Love him, but fear we could be nearing the end of an era. I just hope he goes on his own terms and is not hounded out by idiots with short memories. Team not a patch on what it was, but who could do better with same funds? Has done more for Arsenal, on and off the pitch, than any manager in the history of the club. Has positively influenced English football too. This season will probably be the end of our remarkable run of qualifying for Champions League football, but he proved me wrong last season and long may he continue to do so. Best way to win at the Emirates? Surely you know that already? Lump the ball into our box or anywhere over the top and you should have a chance of scoring. Weakest links in your team? Depends on who is playing, but normally central defence and defensive midfield. We have not got a decent central pair this season and lack pace there. We haven't replaced Alex Song, who went to Barcelona in the summer, and it shows. Players who can hurt Liverpool? Where to start? Santi Cazorla, Jack Wilshere, Theo Walcott, Lukas Podolski, Olivier Giroud and The Ox - Alex Oxlade-Chamberlian - are all proven goalscorers, and all capable of taking advantage of any potential defensive frailties. Which Liverpool player would you most like to sign? Raheem Sterling. I haven't seen much of him yet, but he appears to have the potential to be an excellent attacking player. Or have we got enough/too many of them at Arsenal already? No - you can never have too many good players. One song we're likely to hear? 'We won the league on Merseyside' (I was behind the goal when Mickey Thomas scored the winner in 1989) is always a favourite home or away against Liverpool. There are others, but probably not appropriate for here.
It's interesting to see that after all the moaning by Citeh fans that Liverpool have sold their full allocation of 3,000 tickets for the game tonight I do think £62 for a ticket is disgusting though
But then we will also have a liberal sprinkling of fans throughout the ground - not just in our allocation. Our London Supporters Group is larger than the average QPR attendance!
Nah! It was one of the greastest moments. The players had given their all and had nothing left but were still good enough to take Arsenal to the wire. The crowd stayed and showed their respect to the Arsenal players despite all we had been through that season. That's part of what OUR team the greatest club in this country.
I still say if Liverpool fans have tickets for any other part of the ground they have bought them illegally. All Arsenal tickets have been sold to members. The only other way to buy a ticket is off a tout and ticket touting for football matches in this country is illegal
Who the hell cares if the ticket is 'illegal'? BTW It is possible to buy them legally via a sports agency
It is not legal to buy tickets from a sports agency. The only place to buy a ticket legally is from the selling club.
