Good young keeper, certainly better than Hilario and Turnbull but do we need a young up and coming keeper when we have Courtois? Can't see someone with as much potential as Butland wanting to stay 2nd fiddle to Cech/Courtois! Thoughts?
Here we go again, looking at players we don't need, and not looking for a midfielder we're desperate for.
what a waste of money interms of ability he's no step up from Turnbull as far as a stand in is concerned if he's being as a long term replacement for Cech that would seriously worry me as ive said Butland is no better than Turnbull in truth.
I think Courtois is the long term replacement surely. Don't forget we have to increase the number of English trained players next year and where better than in the keeper department.
We don't need Butthead, we have the best keeper in the world and Courtois is a brilliant prospect who is coming into his own. Turnbull is ordinary and not needed Hillario third choice is better.
Tbf I think this Butland lad is MUCH better than Turnbull Agree with CP, we need a CM or a proper winger!!

He has said he doesn't mean to go anywhere unless he's a 1st choice keeper--and while Petr's around thats not going to happen!! Make Hilarious No2 for the time being(he's never let us down) and groom Coutois to become the next Prem No1 keeper!
Daily Fail is reporting that he rejected you, if that's true then it's probably good reasonong based on the same thoughts as you guys had on this thread. He's better off playing first team football and then moving to a bigger club when someone like Cech or Reina retires. EDIT: Sorry, I typed this a few hours ago so didn't see the similar posts written since then.
