First three, probably four, albums absolutely superb though. Last two, not great. Followed them from day one and to see them progress to arena venue almost cock rock was painful.
It is. I would highly recommned their first Album 'Youth and Young Manhood'. Absolutely up there with the very best debut albums ever. That's the trouble with KOL, people think they didn't exist before Sex on Fire when in actual fact it signalled their spiral into mediocrity.
It's because idiots didn't buy albums from long haired, bearded blokes because they weren't cool til they shaved.
I'd heard the first album and wasn't keen on it, like you said it was when sex on fire came out that made me really loathe them. They seem like ****ers too. Like NOF, only REALLY know their popular stuff and it is infact ****e! Strokes were brilliant but they appear to have turned to **** too, first 3 albums were brilliant, 4th pretty **** and this new single is one of the worst things I've ever listened to!
oh and sweats I tried and had a similar problem to you, far too confusing so I just uninstalled it and got the last version of iTunes as the new one is awful.
Not sure how i stumbled on this thread but it is one of my favourite ever. Inventive insults In jokes that i dont get (Fabio?) And just a splash of true humanity. Agree about Kings of Leon, 1st couple of albums, fan - bloody - tastic, last few, not so good.
