Thing is we don't want to get rid of him! It's just the media being the media. At United every little mistake De Gea makes will get scrutinized, but any keeper at any other team won't even get a mention. Cech was pretty terrible (relative to his normal standards) last year and made plenty of major errors, but you didn't hear much about it. Another United fan here, Manobear is right, there's no story here lads so don't worry. The press loving making up transfer rumours about United because it sells papers, and since De Gea's mistake in the last match (despite many great saves) they've linked us to virtually every keeper in the known world. There have been articles about Casillas, Valdes, Stekelenburg and now Cesar... The papers are scum, but these stupid rumours earn them a living I guess. You have a top class keeper but there's no way we're bidding for him, great result last night and hope you guys stay up.
The feeling is mutual, we dont want to get rid of Cesar. Man U will still probably win the title and we need a world class goalie right now. Its makes no sense for either team.
