You mean back the potential future legends like Bosingwa rather than give gratitude to someone who's done more than we'd have hoped and expected and helped keep us in with a shout of survival? You're basically angry because he's been good.
I didn't hear any boos either. I must admit to having mixed feelings about him leaving us, but I did clap him off at the end. BTW........booing Park when he came on was pathetic. In what way is that going to help his confidence and get him playing better?
Bravo. You are in a very small minority Mr Stainrod. I was proud of the appreciation shown to a real professional tonight.
Totally disagree!! Nelsen has done more than enough for us to deserve his status as an R, but at his age what is he expected to do when getting a coaching offer. He's not going to the opposition he is going to a club he spent a few years at, so his heart is there too! So thank him, wish him well as he would only have been with us for another year or so because of his age.
No-one knows what his contract said you nob end. But to be a contract it would have said he must be available to play for us during the term of his contract. And he's decided to rip that up. Everyone was giving him Pelters where I was. Hope you feel he's worth a nice round of applause next season when we're in the championship. Id rather back fighters who are prepared to wear the shirt for the rest of the season.
Simon you prat, did you have to start your own thread on this subject matter? How come you have so many of those red (infamous) beans in your profile when most people seem to accumulate green ones?
You do understand the concept of a release clause right? If the reason we go down is because of a reliance on a 35 year old freebie then we weren't likely to stay up if he hung around were we? If you do well then you get booed for leaving but if you do badly then everyone cheers you off? Some reward - I'm glad you're not the one trying to convince players to move to us.
you have to respect the man, he went the right way, what if he got injured and was out for the season, cant believe you can have a pop at him
don't be silly gth simon is on the dole and lives with his mum he has been offered lots of jobs but turns them down because he thinks he is signing a long term contract every time he signs on
Re the contract, Roller pointed out the blindingly obvious to me - he's retiring from playing - any player can do this at any time, simply ends the contract. So he could have retired and walked at any time, rather than staying to the end of the window to give us a hence of signing a replacement. If he does turnip playing anywhere, doubtless we would have something to say about it.
