A very good display but two points lost. Mistake using Shechter because he offers nothing. If Danny had come on earlier he would have had more time to ram those boos back where they came from. Miss of the night was from Dyer although he was more involved tonight and Chico showed some good touches, particularly his run to the bye line in the first half. We looked good in fairness but this was yet another game that showed why we are desperate for a quality striker. Sign one, together with a driving midfielder and I reckon we could challenge for a top six place.
Based on tonight's game I'd say we're not far off the real deal in becoming established at this level . to play Sunderland at their place and to be disappointed in just a point gained speaks volumes of how much we've progressed this season .Mr Laudrup can put a team on the park which bears no resemblance to a team from the previous game and still look comfortable shows the quality of the squad.Lasr season we played all the football but lost ,tonight was display from a team in control of their own destiny.
Apart from QPR Sunderland were by far the worst team we've played away this season. DG should have started but why oh why did he need two touches? Hit the bloody thing! If he goes to them judging by that welcome he's bonkers. Good point though.
