2500 is the recommended amount for a bloke.. So to lose you have to go under that amount.. Or do lots of cardio exercise.. I may join a gym as about an hours full on exercise burns about 600 calories.. So to do that three times a week would be better than just doing circuits once a week.
Ah right. I put on weight if I don't exercise (because I eat and drink too much!) and January hasn't been a good month as I have been ill with one various ailment or another. When this latest lurgy clears I'll have to hit the gym pretty hard to make up for lost time. I find sticking to 2000 calories a day and burning c.750 calories in the gym pretty easy.
To be fair 2000 calories is easy enough without booze. I don't know whether to join a gym or not. Will be cheaper than paying £5 a week for circuits. It's just that I hate gyms.. But it's more flexible as I can go when I want as if I miss circuits then I literally do nothing all week.
2,000 calories is easy enough without booze although I personally need a fair few calories before and after a 60 minute workout! If you've still got knees that can take a pounding then don't waste your money, just do road running. Your knees will be ****ed in no time.
Depends how a big a bloke you are. Recommended target calories is based on height, weight and target. I only know this as she's in weight watchers so I calculated my target. Now, I'm 5' 11" and sixteen stone three so on the face of it a proper fat ****, right? However, if I got to 15 stone I would be lean and that's my target weight. I'm a big fella! If I got to my target recommended man weight for height, about 12 stone, I would need to amputate both legs.
I'm the same height as you and two stone less.. That said I have t weighed myself I just know my 32' waist jeans are getting tight as are some of my slim fit shirts.
I think on the BMI as set by the NHS you'd be considered overweight... Just checked and yep you're a chubster, what do you make of that fatty?
Well see my post above. My bmi gives me as obese and while I accept I could lose a stone, maybe even a stone and half to be thin my ideal weight of 12 stone is complete and utter ****ing bollocks. That is a bloke with no shoulders, no arse, no thighs and, well basically, **** all muscle. People are different shapes and sizes and there are some right lardy fat ****s who are my height and may weigh less because they've done **** all but eat all their life.
I dropped to 12 stone two years ago an looked too thin went back up to 13.. Then started doing weights an circuits and put on another half a stone on without gaining fat... Then from sept last year had a bit of man flu didn't workout properly for 2 months and have gained a slight paunch.. Slight mind ..
I told you last year, do loads of heavy squats and dead lifts. You'll thicken right out, kiss goodbye to 32 inch jeans, and put proper weight on. I would feel lightweight if I wasn't at least fifteen stone. Must say, it would be nice to get back down to that.
My legs are perfectly muscular.. Just this slight beer belly I can feel touching my belt buckle I don't like..
diets dont work. Its as simple as that. As soion as you stop the weight goes back on. same with under eating.
I'm not on a diet.. I'm eating the same crap, just a bit less. Cut out milk in my coffee an reduced the sugar. I agree with you though, but you have to diet to shed the weight, then make a few lifestyle changes to keep it off.
Squats and dead lifts will sort your whole body out. Torso mainly but the lot. Bit of thigh definition is merely a bonus.
