Irrelevant question, of course we'll sign someone! A lot of negativity and not enough patience on here lately I reckon But if I must answer I'd say survive - just!
Didn't mean for it to be down beat, more trying to gauge of people really feel we actually need new people in. I agree, I think we will survive.
So we sign someone and they get injured in the first match do we survive or go down? Surely this is about squad development not QPRing
I've said since before the Fulham match in August that if we do not sign a striker, we will get relegated. I'd love to be wrong, but I might as well stick by it. If we stay up, I'm delighted, and if we go down I'm psychic.
I know I sound like a scratched record, but before a ball was kicked in anger I predicted that Holt would NOT get to double figures this season. Last season was his swansong and there was no way he was going to repeat what he did last year whatever system we played IMO. I stand by that, I'm sorry but I believe he is past his best now unfortunately. Yes, if we don't bring a proven goalscorer in 'to give him a hand' we will go down. Hughton has said today that we won't pay over the odds to bring in players, well I'm sorry that's just what you have to do in January. If we believe for instance that RVW is worth £6M but January's price is £8.5M, we have to pay £8.5M we can afford it. This guy looks like a real class act and would score enough goals to ensure our survival, I'm convinced of that
Tough to say. Considering the way we played earlier in the season, we should be able to see it off from here, but if we lose to Spurs and QPR I suspect people will say 'We didn't Hughton sign anyone?'
Ordinary players are going for silly money and a foreigner's ability is based on him playing in his own environment. We do need something to give us another kick start just as we did when Tettey first started playing. Another striker must mean a change of style and system. I don't see where else we can dramatically alter the team for the price we want to pay. It is not beyond the realms of possibility we can go down. Remember 1985. The heart says survival of course but the head says if we don't win one of the next two, the slump may be unstoppable.
Woah munky ! If we lose the next two games it will be 1 point from a possible 24 !! There are not many managers who keep their jobs after results like that. Regardless of the opposition, a points return like that is totally unacceptable IMO, think on
Effectively seven points clear of the relegation zone with a game in hand, hardly unacceptable if you ask me
