a medical is supposedly underway today and then its off to work permit land for young phillipe. Buts whats your view? (I've no clue on this guy BTW)
If he gets his head on right, adjusts to the physical side of the game, then he will become very very good for us.
This guy is going to need some seriously good support or he just won't settle. It seems that those that have seen him play say at the moment he won't suit the PL, which from the little I've seen from him I'd have to agree. Although that's only because the first crunching tackle and he'd be out injured for a while. If he can bulk up and still keep his balance, then we've got a steal. I can see him working well with Sturridge, because he likes to thread through balls. He'll have to establish a way of working with Suarez, I don't think Suarez has ever played with a tricky creative AM behind him, especially not at Ajax or in the Uruguay national team. It could either go very well or very badly with Coutinho, I don't think he'll ever be just a mediocre player.
just realised i need to vote to see the results.. should have put a no clue category... erm..... i'll vote for its not tom ince.
Huge potential. In a country where we value the likes of Henderson at £16m, Carroll at £35m, Zaha at £15m - £8m for a player who was once regarded as the brightest talent in world football is a bargain and a risk worth taking. He has the potential to have a similar impact as Kaka, Ronaldinho etc and become the next big thing in world football. But it is potential. We haven't seen enough tangible evidence to suggest that he is maturing and developing but we will find out.
a man in the street never sits on the fence... they always give an opinion, especially when they haven't a clue.

The man on the streets sits where ever there is a facility for sitting, especially when you have a can can of tenants super strength and a pack of twenty superkings
Voted ' you're paying for potential' however my thoughts are somewhere between that and a steal, at £8.summat million would hardly call it a steal but if he adapts and lives up to potential he could be viewed that way 2 or 3 years down the line. Just thought I'd give my input seeing as I voted. Also noticed that you don't seem to rate Tom Ince much over here, is this down to what you saw of him before he left?
Gotta be better than Borini, Allen and Assaidi, surely.................................................................... ............probably not, judging by that bunch.
Also noticed you dont seem to rate Tom Ince at all over here, is this down to what you saw of him before he left?
Not sure it is a lack of 'rating him' and more a case of 'we have plenty of potential already'. Plus, when he was here, he was behind Sterling and Suso in the pecking order. I also think some posters have an issue with a player leaving to then come back
I have no clue why dso many, especially in the other poll simply perfer this guy over ince... nobody but nobody selected ince in that one. i think we saw his daddy pulling the strings frankly.
I opted for 'At least it's not Ince' but that is just me taking the piss TBH. Fed up with all these bloody polls
If Ince wanted to play for us he could have helped the move with a transfer request. We made a reasonable offer. Then as far as I know Ince did nothing and Blackpool acted like idiots to try to get more money. Ain't nobody got time for that.
Again, I think Ince's attitude should be commended, he has shown loyalty to Blackpool by not submitted a transfer request. If a club wants a player enough then they will pay the price. fortunately it seems, we don't want the player that much
