Any transfer's a gamble I suppose and I'm not sure (from what I've read) that he'll be ready to play regular Prem games. We already have a lot of "potential" and by the sounds of it this lad is just that. If the deal does finally get sorted however I am looking forward to seeing him play. At least the price isn't ridiculous (relative to our recent dealings) and he may just trn out to be a little gem. Fingers crossed.
Maybe just a hint of sour grapes from Inter because for once we ****ed another club over in the transfer market, they'd have got more money from Southampton but player power won in the end.
TRANSFER LATESTThe Mirror's David Anderson reports: "Philippe Coutinho is expected to be confirmed as Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers' second signing of the January transfer window inside the next 24 hours." And still we wait.
is a gamble, but one we have to take and hope it pays off. we do need to start looking at experience though and not just potential, well hopefully anyway.
It is a gamble but so is nearly every transfer and some are worth taking a gamble on, its not a massive fee and if it doesnt work out for him we will get money back easily with him being so young. Zaha to United is a much bigger gamble than this.
1154: TRANSFER LATESTBBC Sport's Ben Smith reports: "Inter Milan midfielder Philippe Coutinho will undergo a medical on Merseyside today as Liverpool push to complete the £8.5m deal in the next 24 hours. "The 20-year-old Brazilian, who arrived in Liverpool on Monday night, will then travel to London for a work permit hearing. Coutinho is expected to be in the squad for Sunday's Premier League match with Manchester City."
Well done for sticking with your bid with Inter messing you about, looks like they will miss out on Paulinho serves them right.
