I hope they all do well. They know that they will never play for the Rs again. This provides a shop window for them and gives their agents something to work with. If they were sat on their arses for the next four months it would be difficult to sell them to anyone.

This is a really good point and it seems to follow a pattern. Barton out on loan, Cisse out on loan, Ferdinand out on loan, Hulse out on loan..... Is it club policy never to actually sell a player or something? Perhaps we want to own every professional player going, just in case they come good at another club. Who was the last player that we actually sold (rather than loaned out or released)? Was it under Warnock (Heidar or Smith)???
Surprised we have let Ferdy go without someone arriving first...Harry has said several times that players will only go if others arrive? I am not overly keen on Ferdy playing, but he is better than sticking a full back or midfielder in at centre back!
