Fathi is the best RB in africa also he can play RWB and he is the #1 choice for Egypt national team right now Elmo only plays as a RW or in Fathi absence in the egyptian national team as al ahly fan i hate to see Fathi leaving because we will really suffer without him (we can do well without Gedo in ACL) but with all the things happening right now in egypt i can't blame him for requesting to play in Europe or even in a Gulf country or anyother player really!
Some things are bigger than football(though not many), it must be really difficult in Egypt at the moment, I hope things don't get any worse.
I can actually hear Burnsy now: "Today's headlines, Hull City are no further along on the Gedo & Fahti deals. Meanwhile Grimsby & Scunthorpe sign players...."
I actually wrote that, with a little extra sentence saying gollum will probably announce the news by saying "over to burnsy for an update on hull city's transfer targets judo and Farty." I hit back on my iPhone and just couldn't be arses to write it again. Glad I wasn't the only one thinking it
More Egyptians please. We can be a budget version of Milan in the days of Gullit, Van Basten and Rijkaard (Elmohamady, Gedo and Fahti).
Hopefully the work permits will be granted before Saturday. In terms of Elmo coming back to the club - I hope MON and other managers/chairmen will realise that Hull will not be forced into making excessive transfer fees/loan agreement fees just because we need a player in a certain position. Think we are similar to every club at the moment - one part of our mind is saying "we're not going to get anyone in the window, we're doomed" and the other part of our mind "maybe if we get this player, we can improve our results" and most of the time it is a middle ground that we find ourselves inhabiting.
It appears we are going to end up in a situation where we are going to have to take a gamble on one, if not both, of these lads. Unknown quantities, but I am glad we haven't spunked a silly amount of money on an ageing player like DJ just to tempt him away from London. January, always a tough time to do business at a sensible price.
so looking at Cardiff and Leicester (for instance), are they currently mortgaging their futures under impending FSF rules on promotion to the Premiership at the end of this season. Indeed have we simply learned through bitter experience or will such footballing entities seek yet another financial loophole if they fail? Whatever happens the whole scenaro shows how wrong the Premiership has been, and continues to be, for English football, and also how flimsy the Premiership 'dream' remains. Oh why, why, why.........?

I noticed the other day that Egypt are on this year's Fifa, so had a look at their squad. Interestingly, Elmo is at right-back, and Fathi just ahead of him on the right of a central midfield 3, so perhaps if we get both Elmo and Fathi, Fathi could be competition for Meyler and Evans, as well as providing cover at right-back?
