the question was asked on twitter earlier. is 3m a good deal for a player that turns 32 this year. the heart says no but the head says yes. that seemed to be the consensus. considering how weak we are up front i say hang on to him until the summer and assess the situation then.
When you talk about an impact player, Mackie fits the bill. You expect something positive when he's around. Also, not to be forgotten, is the positive effect he has on the fans. Raising their tempo and noise. Would be a great loss, especially right now - we're talking up work ethic and putting in a shift - Jamie always does both. They can't all be midfield generals, wiley wingers and trick maestros. He does a job, and he does it well. Shouldn't be going anywhere!!
