Wolverhampton 4.00 Stormbound I stuck this chap up last time out at 7/1 and he was gambled off the boards into 7/4. Now I know I have an army of followers but surely not enough to do so much damage to a market. He only came second that day which was a kick in the teeth and he's up two pounds for that run but as he's running in a maiden today that doesn't matter. I'm keen to back him again in a race I imagine will boil down to the fav and my horse. Raul Da Silva did his usual protracted messing about LTO which probably cost him the race as he was gaining at the end of the mile. This extra 100 yards will be to his advantage and I think he'll out battle the Gosden runner to the finish line to score at what will most likely be an opening price of 3/1. There's a few jumpers bumpers running tomorrow at old Lingfield. Houndscourt is interesting but I'll need to see 3/1 to have a bet in that race.
Shambolic days racing tomorrow! May have a little bet on Somchine in the bumper finale as I was impressed with his debut but thats about it
There are two gambles already taking place at Wolverhampton tomorrow, whilst not exactly in the secret Millionaire catagory of last Friday they do come from stables who can land one and so two singles and a double could be worthwhile as the prices although shortened are not prohibitive. The reason for noting them is like Secret Millionaire neither should really have much chance on the book, certainly not the chance their current price suggests anyway. Wolverhampton 4.30 Belle Noverre 4-1 5.00 Daunt 15-2
Am I right in saying that Tuesday is the entry day for the Supreme Novice, Neptune, and Albert Bartlett hurdles?
Evening guys one I have had information on and is well fancied by the connections runs in the 2.30 Wolverhampton Lady Royal 12/1 EW for me
Just taking issue slightly here Blue. Secret Millionaire had a stonking chance on the book, his mark had been manipulated by his placings and the bookies got caught with their trousers diwn. He should never ever have been a 10to1 shot. IMO
With poor form and a lousy draw, I reckon the connections will get locked up if she wins! However - I'm looking for one to jinx, and this will do for me matey Edit: 14-1 with Mr Patrick Power
Dr Livingstone 3.20 Lingfield Dont really want to get involved in these races but this horse cruised up LTO beating Ranjaan who himself sped up very impressively and clear of all the others in a competitive race but found 1 too good in the selection today. No penalty but hopefully the last race hasnt took too much out of him and a fair projected price of 9/4. Would guess he will go off closer to evens.
On that note, I have mopped up large prices about UN ATOUT for the Neptune hurdle after rewatching his wins and analysing his pedigree. I cannot believe for a moment that a Robin Des Champs horse wont get the 2m 5f and if the ground is quick in the spring, I would not be surprised to see Mullins make a switch to the Neptune and for Gigginstown to send RULE THE WORLD to the Albert Bartlett, where they would fancy their chances of him staying on the better ground. As we learnt last year with Simonsig, nothing is ever certain trip-wise. Un Atout is entered up in the Deloitte Novice Hurdle a week Sunday and that may tell us more over the 2m 2f. The more I watch him, the more I think he is a staying horse with a phenomenal cruising speed- similar to a certain runner in the Neptune last year. I cant put my finger on it but I just think there is a bit of an X Factor about this horse so fingers crossed he develops into a smart one. I know people might say Ponte Alexandre being Neptune bound means Willie Mullins will look to separate them, but Gigginstown tend to overrule him so you can never be sure, especially if they fancy a crack at the Albert Bartlett on better ground against inferior opposition, like they tried with Boston Bob last year. Just good to have some cover against the nice position on him in the Supreme.
You are of course right Stick but you had to go back a bit in the book. Indeed if you go back to 2011 he had a huge chance from such a mark but on his form of 2012 my comment would have been just as correct as it would have been difficult to fancy him on the book as he finished 13th/ 14, 13th/14, 9th/9, 10th/11, 11th/15, 12th/12, 11th/13, 6th/8, of these 8 races he was beaten a combined distance of 114 lengths despite 7 of the 8 races being over the minimum distance of 5f. He then turns up for his first race of 2013 and scoots in going away at the line, for me it was a perfect example of a plot performed to perfection, due as you point out to a good deal of manipulation and an absoloute gift from the Handicapper due to him taking the book I was refering to litrally. Having investigated it now I notice he dropped him from 78 to 58 over 3 races, and most trainers would consider it a gift to be able to get a horse down so easily. For me the most significant thing was the owner's name however as it's one of those you know you can follow with confidence. Regarding tomorrows selections Belle Noverre is a little similar to Secret Millionaire as all last year has been doing nothing making SM look a horse in form even, however go back to july 2011 and it won at Mussleburgh off of a mark of 75 but runs tomorrow off of 51, has not run for nearly 300 days but is backed into 4-1 fav already. The other one Daunt was brought out of R.Hannons when winning off of 73 has since been beaten 100 lengths over 5 races beating only 4 horse home over those 5 races. Tomorrow it runs off of 57 and is now best priced 13-2 from 16-1. I wanted to put them up because the money for them really stood out as it did with Secret Millionaire, as we know however the best laid plans do not always come off. I have backed both in singles and a double so only need one to show a profit, fingers crossed. Good luck to you Stick whatever you back and may your good form continue. Mine has been terrible for the whole of January, I had a fantastic November, a decent December although due really to only one very good day and a very poor January so I am hoping for a decent day tomorrow as I have gone for a good bet on those two.
Hi guys, just registered on this forum after following a few of roto's and stick's tips these past few weeks (cheers lads). Just wondering what the best site is that you guys use, I currently use betdaq for most my singles and William hill for ew doubles and footy bets. Ive noticed paddypower has a lot of early prices usually the night before. What do you recommend?
Daunt won a Claimer for Hannon as opposed to a handicap Blue. However, he was placed off a mark of 75 so he's still well handicapped. The Quinn's appear a very shrewd bunch to me and I'd be surprised if they money was too far wrong.
Of course there is! But if we told you then you would look as smart as us. Welcome SMP and you are welcome to the winners. I have accounts with everyone as I always want the best price but without doubt for me the one I could not do without is BET365.
