How did they beat Arsenal though? I didn't see the game. But it sounds like there's more to them than meets the eye. Just trying to lower the expectations a bit. I'd hate if the audience got impatient after 30 minutes. Any team that goes to the finals deserves a lot of respect.
They got to the final fully on merit, and while we should beat them it's by no means certain , we have come croppers with lower league sides like Havant in the past because of arrogance and determination from the opposition. If we are to win we must be at our best, league position is nothing in cup games, we've caused some upsets when we in the lower leagues, we were critical of the arrogance of higher league teams assumption that its lowly Swansea we will batter them. The higher you set the pedestal the bigger the fall, I am not assuming or taking for granted nothing, we need to beat a good Bradford side to get the cup.
Hi just to say we won't be a pushover. We did Wigan, Arsenal & Villa. We have nothing to lose and everything to gain. The odds were 10,000 to 1 against us remember. Not too bad for a 4th tier team. See ya there enjoy the game.
Fully agree you got past several higher league teams and there is no reason why you guys can't be confident. We are football fans and only dream of the best for the club we support. Anything is possible and a Bradford win is not out of the realms of possibility, wonder if that would be a first for a 4th tier club to win this cup ?
I think if we do pull this of then yes I think we will be the first 4th tier team to do it. Still in shock thinking about it. Tell you what as a true Yorkshire man I'm not chucking my money around in Wemberley on expensive food & drink. F+%k that for a game of soldiers. Bring it on.
15 days off is too long. I hope that we arrange a mid-season friendly for a week before the final or something, just to keep match sharp. But is that a needless risk to our players? Sorry if this thought has previously been covered, couldn't be bothered to read the whole thread yet
Harr Bant, There's sod all around Wembley and the few pubs will be heaving. My plan is to buy my own cans beforehand an discreetly take them on the bus with me. Plenty of places around the stadium to sit outside, mill about and have a can or two. Take your own food too for the day and you can save a fortune. Whatever happens Bradford have been brilliant getting all the way to the final and I for one won't take anything for granted, safe journey and enjoy the day
come on did you not see them play against one of the worst villa sides ever..villa were all over them in both games and if they had a goal scorer they would have battered them.....We wont have to get out of 3rd gear to beat that lot because if we do you could be looking at a big score......
With Spurs losing to Leeds, Liverpool to Oldham and Chelski drawing with Brentford this really is the year of the underdog. By winning the FA Cup in 1911 that makes Bradford the bigger Club and the Swans underdogs
No, cos at the end of the Day we are in 4th Tier of the League. So that must mean we are the underdogs.
We don't do very well against lower league sides, take Crawley as an example! Not to mention Waterlooville, so we can't be complacent as Bradford have some decent boys on the pitch, and I've watched both their games against Villa and the Arsenal games too, so their not at Wembley for nothing, they can play football alright. The secret will be to eliminate their aerial attack at set pieces, do that, and set ourselves up as if we were playing Norwich, or Everton and we'll be fine, not sure what Dai is smoking though!..............
anyone can lose at a clubs ground as its tailored to their advantage but wembley will be perfect and if a premiership club cant beat a 4th division club with that advantage the we might as well give up...4-0 no problem...
I hope we will have the advantage of experience, we were pretty bloody good last time we were there...
