I would also add that he's not what we need, Boss. we've got a poacher who like's through balls, in Defoe. we need someone who's taller with a bit of strength who'll hold the ball up and give us a different option aerially.
Defoe hasn't been the same since Ade came back into the team and us playing a 4-4-2 (of some sort) I want us to return to the 4-2-3-1 and use Defoe like we was at the start of the season when he was on fire...but I agree if we go 4-4-2 we need someone with strength that can hold the ball up.
http://www.goal.com/en-gb/news/2892...with-schalke?source=breakingnews&ICID=HP_HL_1 ....Hmm be good news but so far its only the sensationalist sites reporting it, like goal, yahoo and the daily fail........but hopefully its true.
I'd just laugh in their faces and retweet their bullshit when the info I shared become "true". That way I can smile and other posters would ridicule them. No... Unfortunately he is a yid. Though to be fair to the lad, he works in a Tesco.com depot and spunks 80%/ 90% of his wages to come to as many games with me as he can.
And it's only private in the sense that you can't DM him - where he was getting abuse. You can still ask questions - as I have done.
That I have to doubt, Sig met us AND Liverpool and went away to decide, I also recall Sig saying he was impressed with AVB so it sounds like any prior meeting was a 'pitch' to join us and not an 'introduction'.
Exactly right! We've now improved the team and I agree we have a relative weakness in strikers. But anyone criticising AVB or levy needs to say which player(s) we signed in the summer we should have gone without to get this striker in. We are budget limited and can't have it all
Passion is the main thing. like you say, fair play to him. I'm guessing he's younger? hence the up and down spurs-swings? LOL. I've just learnt to stay down! it's funny, I bet i've read tweets from you guys, not even knowing its you. I reckon we'd be amazed how many of us have seen one another's accounts without realising!
Just turned 19. You'd think he'd just turned 13 though at times! I still have mood swings to be honest... I'm just a big kid really, can't deny it. You should see me when I lose at FIFA to him (which is a lot), tend to just want to punch his face in
Yep, seems like it's gone through: http://www.tottenhamhotspur.com/spurs/News/lewis-holtby-january-move-28012013.page?
i think everyone's gone through this in the past though PS, you might find a slight difference of opinion, but the same names will crop up and so will the reasons for those people. For me, we shouldn't have had 4 keepers or the likes of Bentley or Jenas with us. - i mean come on, we extended Jenas' contract Every day we keep the dead wood it costs us. we should have taken a hit a while back and been done with them. Carlo, Gomes, Bentley and Jenas must total what.... £150k a week in wages? 150 x 52 = (calculator tiiimmmeee....) 7.8m a year. and that's just 4 names. To me, it's not about what we'd had lost. it's about what we'd gain each week, which'd add up over the course of time. i've made myself clear over the summer transfers. for me, with VDV and Modric going and £40 mill in the bank it should have been Dembele + 1 other of proven top quality. we didn't get that right. Defoe's been hot and cold for years, and Ade is a known risk, so there should have been another top striker. Dempsey is a good player, but he's not what we needed and he's not the best suited. that was a further 6 mill that could have gone towards someone else that we really needed. Sig was an unlucky one. he's been a good player, but it just hasn't worked out so far. but again, we profited and showed we're a selling club. i'm not asking us to compete with Chelsea or City... but come on spend something to get us more of a chance at that increased CL money/new investment/sponsorship etc etc!
We've debated this point for almost 2 years now. Why oh why were the Bentley's, jenas's etc not let go some time ago? It would have freed up much needed cash to hopefully improve the squad. I'm no chartered accountant, but the only reason I can think of is financial. Maybe amortisation of the initial cost over the number of years of the respective contracts? That way no financial hit has to be shown on the books?? Any accountants out there?
In my opinion - no chance, he'll still be a starter while Sandro's out. Holtby will likely come in as a CAM and play behind the centre forward. Like PNP just mentioned, Livermore loan to QPR will be likely now.
