HARRY Redknapp admits QPR midfielder Ji Sung Park is suffering a crisis of confidence.

The South Korean star has made just two Premier League starts for Rangers since Redknapp took charge in November, and was stripped of the captaincy in favour of defender Clint Hill.

Park was jeered by his own fans after he was hauled off during Saturday's FA Cup embarrassment against MK Dons.

“He looks a bit short of confidence,” said boss Redknapp.

“He has to pick himself up. He's done okay in the past couple of weeks in the middle of the park.”

So, this means Harry rates Park

    Harry rates Park

So he should the lad can play doesn't help when you hear what I heard Saturday

Some want him gone and that is utterly ridiculous You know where i stand on my views of him. He is this month's SWP and it's disgraceful IMO

Everybody needs a bosom for a pillow........we lost Hughes let's do Park! He has to do better if he wants to start, but I reckon my confidence at work would drop if I had a 22 stone replica shirted ignoramus and his equally attractive mates bellowing "you're a useless cnut" at me from 3 yards away all day.

If Park hasn't been in this position before, he's a lucky man.

If any of us were in his position, we'd know what to do to get the fans back onside. Up to Park to do it, both on the training ground and in the matches he's selected for.

No sympathy until he earns his money I'm afraid.

Go on twitter and talk about the abuse he's been getting and say he'll walk away if he can't get it right ... and then wait for all the "Please don't go", "We love you really", "Don't listen to the morons" and "you can get it back" messages of support to boost his confidence.

If it works for one person at the club then it might work for him too.

Interesting post from the Korean Moderator on watrb.

    About Park.

Many of u might not know.
2003-2005 he played for PSV in Holland under Hiddink. At first he was donkey. Couldn't do a thing and every time he possessed the ball, fans booed. This continued for a year. Hiddink couldn't play Park at home for this reason.

Park was afraid at hearing boo. Park explained ' I hated, was afraid of football. But I started to change myself.'

In the following season he scored 11 goals and assisted quite a few even in the champions league vs AC Milan.

Against world class footballers he discharged all of his stresses off. That was when he became world class. Hope he revives as he did.

Park 'I was a bit annoyed that fans who booed me at first for a whole year, started to sing my song and praise me high'.

So he has been in this position before - and eventually found out what to do to get the fans onside: don't be donkey! Score, assist, grow a pair and you're back on song - literally.

    It's all we want.

Spot on Brix. Actually touching the ball occasionally rather than trying to win the 'distance run' award might also help.

    And the point is?

That was 10 years ago - Hell he was a different person then, needing to up his game to achieve his ambitions. 10 years on - he's in the twilight of a glorious career of overachievement - Do you honestly think he will have the same desire to prove us all wrong? The guy was never more than an extremely honest water carrier, these days he's lost the ability to find the water, in fact he's right in the middle of a desert!!

SWP is still cack, because he got lucky with one goal and a couple of touches are coming off does not make him Prem standard. And before you move on to the infected diatribe - I don't abuse and want him so badly to succeed he just cant the poor man.
He runs and runs and trys and trys - in fact I genuinely feel so srry for the guy when he continually runs straight into defenders or straight out of play - if he's been lucky enough to bring the damn thing under control!

His then manager knew that the constant booing was never going to help his player regain confidence. I believe Redknapp feels the same way.

Constant booing will help no one - agreed.
Ji Sung Park is in twlight of an over achieving career - agreed?
Ji Sung Park has contributed nothing to QPR and formlines suggest this to continue - agreed? -- Other than a few shirt sales!
Constant booing/Contributing nothing - leads to offloading - agreed?

What's the matter, somebody parked in your space today?:emoticon-0109-kiss:

Park, along with a few others, has had a less than dazzling spell at QPR so far. However, the manager picks the team and if he feels he's good enough to merit a place in the team we should respect it. Agreed?

In Harry I completely trust - that he's been left with the class of Park et al to work with is not his fault. This is the time to get the deadwood out and Park, Green, Bosingwa, Ferdinand and a few more are rotting!

And no one has annoyed me other than having to see people write that this is the best squad ever assembled at our club - That is just simply a downright slur and disgrace to the numerous heroes we've enjoyed.

Hell I'd rather have a defence of Rose,Gino,Clarke and Danny than Bosingwa,Hill,Ferdinand,Fabio!!

That's what gets me - And those 4 didn't get paid in a month together what Bosingwa (I just hate even typing his name! earns in a week!

It's good that those idiots who don't rate him stay quiet and not post anything here.

I've always rated him and still do, I've seen what he can do in the past and he can be a superb International.

Confidence crisis suggests he doesn't rate himself Yappy. That needs to change first before he's got the slightest chance of convincing shed loads of fans waiting to see the quality he's shown elsewhere repeated in a hooped shirt.
