    Levy? Sherwood? who knows.

come on mate! just give them some credit <laugh> he's been saying this for days! I hate the "ITK" circles too, but this guy has now got to be classed as legit. that's about signing number 5 he's told everyone about!

Moutinho? or not getting another striker after realizing that we were short?
Who knows about Sig.. that could have been any introductory phone call after Levy'd pretty much done the business. Gylfie, meet your new coach to be, AVB, meet your new player.

Which ITK was it? Suter? Gards? Or dickhead Eatson? Gards is the only one I trust but haven't seen his tweets in ages, Suter's is a private account so can't tell.

Yeah I reckon because of Moutinho mate, had we got him I doubt we'd have brought in Dempsey, surely we wouldn't have had another £6m after spending what would have been £20m+ and the £8m on Lloris earlier too.

It must show how desperate we are ,that we are all getting excited by 1.5 million signing. The teams around us will be trembling with fear.
I feel like the fat bloke who 's only chance is the ugly tubby girl if she is tanked up with a few babychams.

I was one and I still think it is fine. If we suddenly found £15m in a pot under the stands I would buy Willian. If we had signed a striker in the summer we would not have been able to afford either Dembele or Vertonghen, both of whom were higher priorities then.

People keep going on about having Berbatov, Bent, Defoe and Keane a few years back. I don't remember that leading to either top four or a cup win......

I don't think it's the value mate, it's more about the fact that he can't be worse than some of the options we've currently got. well it is for me, anyway.

Holtby is an exception to the "market" and "values" though. He is 1.5 mill for a reason; his contract is finishing. However, its the ****ing about over a few hundred grand and 3 bid attempts thats pissed me off. Who knows, Holtby might have given us the edge yesterday, had we got him earlier.

If I'm correct, I'm pretty sure that we eneded up in profit during the summer, after the sales of all our players? didn't we get about 10 for Rafa, 30 odd for modric and 20 for the dead wood? (+ anyone else ive forgotten about)

we spent 8 on sig, 8 on lloris, 15 on dembele, 6 on dempsey, 10? on vertonghen. - have I missed anyone?

I make that a profit pot of about 10-15 mill <whistle>

When we had those 4 strikers, we had the same imbalance as we have now, but in other areas of the pitch. the talent wasn't of thestandard of our current first 11. damn, it wasn't even close.

Lloris was 10-12mill wasn't he? Adebayor was £5mill and Fryers was anywhere between £500k and £3mill, I think.

    You missed a few, Roo.
Out: Kranjcar, Corluka, Nelsen, Pienaar, Bassong, Modric, Button, van der Vaart, Dos Santos, Saha, plus some kids.
In: Sigurdsson, Vertonghen, Adebayor, Dembele, Lloris, Dempsey.
Virtually level spend, basically. Maybe about £5m profit? Probably a drop in the wage bill, though.

    Probably nicks Gards' info :)

Can't judge a transfer by it's fee mate. It's about the quality of the player not the quantity of the price, and judging from reports in Germany, we've got an absolute bargain for a player of Holtby's supposed calibre.

Caulker, Defoe and Naughton penned new deals too.

Hope we give new ones to Lennon and Ekotto, they haven't signed a new one for a while if memory serves right. Lennon especially deserves a new one. I'd love for Daws to get one as well, hopefully AVB has seen just how important he is.

Suter comments and then has Gards replys to it though. they've both got contacts and different ones I reckon. both appearto be good sources of info.

    just seen this quote:

"To dare is to...... be cautious in the transfer market" <laugh>

Meh... Still not entirely convinced. He shouldn't need to make his account private if his info is spot on as you suggest, just like JJetset who supposedly is one of the "top" ITK's, I called him out on one bit of info, next thing I'm blocked... I just get cautious to the ones that go private/ block people, seems as if they're hiding something, I appreciate some people abuse the **** out of them but if they're speaking the truth, they'll be the ones laughing when the OS makes an announcement.

    Haha I like that quote.

haha you're more skeptical than me!! his account wasn't private when i followed him. He got a **** load of abuse and decided to go private. some real bellends.

I watched some of the St Mirren Celtic semi final up here, league cup, St Mirren defeated Celtic 3-2 and was keeping an eye on hooper and his movement, he likes to receive the ball, play a quick pass and then is direct, straight into the box looking for a through ball or branch away from a defender, a typical poacher.

The problem is he has only been tested in leagues in which the defending is dire and allows strikers time and space, so you look look at his record in europe and say its decent but I would say he is too much of a gamble, especially for some of the fees being quoted 7-10 million.

As for Willian, again, we would be taking a gamble on a player that performs in a weak league and occasionally in the champions league (when fired up).

Looking at our current squad, we need to sign an established player, someone that doesn't feel they need to prove their ability but is already at the top of their game.

Yeah I appreciate there are some real ****tards on Twitter. My cousin's one, he's one of the most fickle fans I've ever met. If we win, he tweets how we're amazing and don't need to sign anyone, we lose and the whole team should be transfer listed... But it still puzzles me why these ITK's go private when, IF their info is so spot on, surely they'll have the last laugh?

if it was me who had all the legit info, and I was passing it on for my fellow spurs fans, I wouldn't stand for abuse. no one deserves that. he can still go private and have the last laugh. guessing your cousin in an arsenal fan then?
