Wanted man: Norwich and Fulham will bid for QPR winger Jamie Mackie 27 Jan 2013 22:30 The £3million Scotland flank ferret has been told he can leave Loftus Road â and Premier League rivals are queueing up for him Fulham and Norwich are both lining up £3million bids for QPR winger Jamie Mackie. Scotland international Mackie, 27, has been told he can leave Loftus Road, with Rangers boss Harry Redknapp targeting new recruits to help beat relegation from the Premier League. Mackieâs preferred option is thought to be fellow London club Fulham, but Canaries chief Chris Hughton is keen to bring him to Carrow Road. Former Exeter midfielder Mackie has made 73 appearances and scored 18 goals for QPR since joining them from Plymouth in 2008.
If there was one player I wouldn't want to leave its mackie, if we go down he is precisely the type of player we would need. I for one hope this is BS
I hope this was meant for the joke thread. Our hardest working player and it would undoubtedly come back to bite us on the arse if we sold him to a rival. Also, what replacements? They're hardly coming in droves.
If true it will be right up there among the most ridiculous decissions made by the hierarchy at the club, and there have been quite a few the last year and a half!
hard to believe we would let one of the few players making an effort go also means I will have to rename my dog
when he was 8 my youngests favourite player was heider now he is 9 his favourite players are nelson and Mackie just asked him who would now be his favourites so the next to leave will be tarbs and cesar
Because transfers are sanctioned by the ones who's on top. Chief excecutive Beard and Fernandes will have to be involved for a sale to go through. And if Mackie is sacrificed to get money in for signing yet another mercenary then the men at the top need to be held accountable, not just Harry. That said, can't see this to be true. Mackie has played every game under Harry, scored when played up front and one of a few who bleeds for QPR. Don't think Arry will let him go.
Do you think the 'men at the top' should pick the team too? That's what the 'you can't sell him' message would really mean. Harold will have a budget for transfers and a total budget for wages - so some will have to go to get others in. The names, in both directions, are Harold's decisions. He has obviously decided we can't stay up with the current squad. I love Mackie's heart and attitude, but he's a limited player and H likes 'quality'. Plus people actually want to buy him. May not be true though. If Norwich get him with their wage cap, would just show he's not earning that much (in prem terms) anyway.
This has to be total trollox. That aside, I would still like to see Hoillett starting more and getting a decent run in the team. At some stage we will have to ditch the Alamo tactics and put out some attacking players to actually try and win games.
