70,000 souvenior flags were ordered by the FA and have been laid out in their seats for both Man City and Stoke fans in both their respective colours, but the printed description at the bottom reads "Stoke City v Man Utd" on the Stoke flags and " Man City v Bolton Wanderers" on the Citeh flags. I think it's about time the government stepped in and took over the running of football in this country. Governments might not be initially more capable than the existing bodies, but at least they are accountable to the population. As it stands we cannot do anything about the FA other than complain.
Fifa's got that end covered though, haven't they. No government "interference" is allowed. I think it was in 2008 or 2009 that both the Polish and Iraqi governments stepped in to stop corruption in their FA's. Both were suspended from Fifa as I remember.
I'd say the bit where the guy who runs the company that supplied the flags says "It's all our fault" means the FA shouldn't be getting blamed for it.
