Didn't go today, but on speaking with a few friends they feel that he may now be losing the dressing room. One or two players today looked as if they really could not be bothered from all accounts. Be intrested to read the views from them that did go on this score?
Waddo, Watched it on the telly and we were lack lustre other than in defence, I couldn't say if he's losing the players or it was just some harebrained scheme of his but we were really poor in all other departments, Nzonzi excepted. The sooner Pulis is history the better.
Jowler, I can't help thinking though why are we not using Pennant or Palacios as surely they must be better than those that we are using. I heard Shotton was woeful again so where was Geoff Cameron? Crowd down 7,000 from capacity, weather or T.V. or had enough?? Feel like we are on bit of a slide at the moment!
Think all the effort was put into stpping them rather than playing ourselves don't know why Cameron wasn't on the pitch because Shotton was dire, I don't think we will see the other two again unless it is a goodbye, i don't know why, we have some good players but a manager who can't use them, why oh why!!!
Waddo I made it JUST about as I dug my car out but really wish I had not bothered. Shotton was an utter waste. If he's a winger Pulis is an idiot. NO WAIT maybe both. One isn't the other is. NO way Hosse Pulis lost the plot today.
Pennant is cup tied, I think. He was on the bench for one of Wolves games, but never played. I think that counts. Doesn't explain why he's not featured in any PL game since he's been back though. I don't think we did too badly yesterday, we were pretty bad to start, played a lot better for the last 25 minutes of the first half, and then struggled like hell when Citeh switched things round. I thought the starting lineup was decent, although Cameron should have been playing instead of Shotton, who was poor again, and I was suprised Adam didn't play either, only explaination I can come up with is that they must be being rested for Wigan. I thought we should have bought Adam on instead of Crouchie, as MC were had 5 in midfield by then and you could see N'Zonzi and Whelan struggling, and we'd already got Jerome and Walters on anyway. However, I did like how we swapped things round a bit after Crouch came on, we ended up with Crouch up in the middle, Jerome and Walters to either side, and Matty in a sort of CAM role, where I thought he did more than while he was on the wing. Didn't prove to be effective enough, but I thought it was a brave move, and seemed to suit Etherington alright.
Waddo, I can honestly say that Pulis has not lost me, as he never had me (metaphorically speaking) in the first place. Enough is enough.
By deceit, the first time round he called himself a football manager and don't mention the 3 year plan
He had us all on both counts the conman ager and the ever evolving plan 3 to 5 to whatever it is now.
But that was before the he discovered we have a leak in the back four. This could be a bigger job than we thought said the cowboy builder!!
So now, Five years on we have a Cowboy Builder in charge who can't see a leak when it's so obvious even us mere mortals can see it's costing us goals. So, as paying fans, can we SUE those WE pay to give us a decent service. In short Like Brenford just have.. GIVE other teams BETTER than STOKE a decent game of FOOTBALL?
I think the atmosphere changed at the end of our 2nd season beginning of the 3rd season. I have been told that year on year there has been a new season ticket holder increase of 30% which sounds great. Reverse it and it means that we have had a 120% turnover since we got promoted - not so great!
If you think about it our season always falls off the rails around this time of the year. Is it any wonder when half the team are linked with other clubs and really hacked off at not getting a start over more inferior players. How can the players lift themselves when they are constantly hearing Pulis wants to sell them on order to bring in more players?
I know what you mean Waddo, its tough one. Really the players have an obligation to perform when they step over the line, as much as I slate TP he cant really be blamed if they cant be arsed or dont turn up. On the flip side they old "no smoke without fire" situation in that it seems regular that we get disenchanted players and i can empathise with their plite. I have said this a few times now and no one has really commented but the last few games TP himself has been really quiet almost indifferent - I wonder if he is feeling the pressure?
Right chaps, go out on to that pitch and express yourselves, but only in the way I want you to and don't deviate from the plan or get yourselves out of position, or you'll be sold!!
