It's being reported in the Yorkshire and Merseyside press that Everton are in pole position to sign Stones from Barnsley. That is one more potential target off the list.
Not too concerned tbh. As I said on another thread : `I like the way MON is taking it steady. Bring a couple of good players in. Keep the decent ones for the squad and getting rid of the deadwood. Much easier for settling in. Better way to build imo. ` Might get another couple but certainly no panic buying. Sensible I reckon.
I think everybody should also relax as I don't expect we will do anything until Wednesday at the earliest anyways (after the Swansea game)
Hey, no panic here lads. If we sign a covering striker and nothing else this window, I am more than happy to wait till the summer for the big recruits we all crave. The team we currently have have won 5 out of the last 8 EPL games and we have Rose (coming back) & Mangane (yet to debut) to add to that. The only concern is an injury to Fletcher making things difficult, hence a striker is my only big wish. I am not fussed about Scharner at all personally and if it is to be Graham (and lets face it we'd all be surprised if it isn't) then so be it.
If that were the case then fine as well mate but we are not in the position to have to throw everything we have at a huge problem. Unlike some
Not like up the road. Thought I`d better mention it as it`s been at least 20 mins since we had anything mag.
If we signed downing, graham and zarate I would be over the moon. Which Peruvian have we been linked with
I couldn't be less excited about signing a craa loving player than I could be disappointed not signing Messi. Both things should not be possible in this life. Downing and Zarate would be fine by me though.
Cest I think it's dead cert graham is going to sign for us it's a huge gamble from mon but all we can do is support the lad and hopefully he will prove all the doubters wrong.
He has an almost insurmountable mountain to climb in my case mate and he'll be doing it against my hope rather with any blessing. I had enough with Clarks ignorant indiscretion and disrespect to last me a lifetime and it is his actions that Graham has to thank for my absolute hostility towards this move. If he comes and lets face it its a more likely than not, then he is under the microscope from second one in my case. He will not get my support so easily and will have really, really earn it. Far from giving me a boost in signing a new striker (which is almost always the case) this is one I will have accept with a very heavy heart indeed. However, if in a few months time I am speaking about him with a smile on my face then tbf the lad will have done exactly as you say and proved the doubters like me wrong. That said he will need to maintain that effort and commitment unlike Clark who **** on us despite 2 solid years of support and good wishes? I'm resigned to it rather than excited by it.
It looks more and more likely that it is going to be just the one signing this window, which I would imagine will be Graham: and this will not be done until after the Swansea match.
