Lets say Cardiff will stay top this season ? I can see a really tough 4 horse race for 2nd spot develloping between now & the end of the season for 2nd place between Leicester, Hull, Palace & Watford & maybe even a 5 horse race if another team crashes the party. I really think it´s going to be a nail biter & we´ve got a tough last few games awell :emoticon-0141-whew:

It's going to be a very interesting run in. I can see it going to the last game of the season.

Hull need some strikers desperately so I would wait until the window closes before ruling them in or out. They currently dont have the fire power to be able to finish in the top 2 imo

Boro look decent but again they lack someone who can stick the ball away on a consistent basis

Watford have got a very good chance but its keeping the back door shut with them. Vydra looks a top player but I dont think they have enough quality throughout the side to compete come May for top 2

Then there is us. Both Nugent and Wood will score goals and with Wes Morgan at the back we should remain solid. I think we will get 2nd but an injury to a key player in some positions could prove critical but thats the same with every club

I think Cardiff at the very worst will take 2nd

Vydra's a key player, but we're not a one man team.

We've got a Champions League finalist in goal. If we want we can select three Premier League centre backs (although we have a youngster and a Sweden international who are better than two of those), wing backs with caps for the Czech Republic and Italy, an absolute dream of a central midfield in the shape of Nathaniel Chalobah, Jonathan Hogg and Almen Abdi, and Vydra's strike partner is on a respectable 12 goals from 22 appearances (17 starts).

Perhaps more significantly than any of those credentials, we're capable of doing this when Vydra isn't on the pitch.

    (sorry about the commentary)

Just a shame most of your entire team is from Udinese.

Where does it leave you next season when Udinese want their players back?

No doubt they'll look at Vydra and co and think they can do a job for them.

For the record, I think you'll win the play-offs. But you're not getting my point.

Udinese will want the players who have done wonders for you at such a young age to play for them.

    Europe or scrapping relegation? Quite.

Depends what the owners think to be fair, they might decide that they are willing to keep a few at Watford to see what they can do. I don't think it's Udinese's call to make. These are businessmen and will take calculated risks - I don't think they will give a shiny one if they think they can make a few bob off Watford whilst loaning a few kids from Udinese out to them.

I think Watford will do it - and will be the worthiest too imo. Pearson will need shooting if he fails after Leicester have spent more than any Championship manager in history last couple of seasons <ok>

Well not really, seeing as he wasn't even here when the majority of that money was spent.

You still feeling confident that Millwall will be up there?

Hmmmmm 'worthiest' ... not sure I share the view that the Watford experiment in nepotism makes them worthiest - also unfair to judge Pearson on the signings of his predecessor ...

Pearson's own signings over the 'two seasons' are less than Blackburn spent on Jordan Rhodes ...

Odd that we only have 3 days until the transfer window closes and we have had no sniff of any other signings, i thought our position would encourage a few more to come in and help us push on for the prem, a-la Sharp, Vas Te and Maynard.
