Harry Redknapp was livid on Saturday afternoon following QPRâs FA Cup 4th round defeat to MK Dons at Loftus Road. âArry used words such as âdreadful,â âsloppyâ and âdisgustedâ whilst also confirming that there will be plenty of last minute ins and outs at QPR during the final days of the transfer window. Portuguese newspaper A Bola confirm today that one signing QPR will make is Porto defender Rolando after the two clubs have come to an agreement. A Bola add that there is a âvery tempting proposalâ on the table for Rolando and âhe could even arrive in the coming hours to the English capital.â Rolando has been linked with QPR for some weeks now and is seen as the long term replacement for Ryan Nelsen who is departing to be coach of Toronto in the MLS. The Portuguese international has played just one game this season at Porto due to a dispute with his club and came very close to leaving in the summer transfer window. http://www.101greatgoals.com/blog/a-bola-rolando-to-arrive-in-london-today-to-sign-for-qpr/
Well after reading around the web it seems that his quick isn't the quickest quick if you know what I mean
Would be a massive upgrade over Ferdinand, then so would be anyones gran. One more defender and a forward is needed and then we can believe.
You're against us buying Odemwingie aren't you? It seems he's very close to sign with all that twitter banter with fans
what about the strong, defensive, holding midfielder that we are desperate for?. The thought of watching Park,Derry and Mackie running around like headless chickens, with zero skill set,is a horrid thought!
One step at a time...If Anton has been sent home from the training ground and loaned out to a Turkey, we need a CB NOW
Thats great news as it means we are already getting 1 in, now we need another one to cover Nelsen departing.
s'funny - we go on about pace but Ryan "I played for the shirt" Nelson seemed to lack some but made up for it in heart and spirit. As regards to Anton and turkeys.....I have some spare onions....
Top, top class centre backs don't need too much pace, because they read the game. Maldini barely used to tackle, he just knew where the ball was going to be. No idea whether this bloke is that good though.
But it would be nice to have at least one fast CB don't you think, we're so vulnerable tn counter attacks because our CB are slow
I agree we do need defenders with pace, but what Ryan lacks in that area he makes up for it in others. Having only seen highlights yesterday all our defenders lack everything a defender should have. And I will include Boswinger in that as he is just a ponse that wants money for nothing
I agree Nelsen is very good, but imagine him being faster, then he's 20% better. No? Positioning, awareness, reading the game are the most important skills that good CB should have but if he's fast that jsut make him better. The same goes for other players too
