I questioned the signing from day one. He's averaged 15 games a season for utd and from memory didn't even start in the CL final. Over the hill, overrated. What's the point in being a 90 min player if you can't do anything for 90 mins? First time I thought TF was clueless was when he announced park as our marquee signing. First time I thought the same about MH was when he appointed him as captain and tried to justify the decision. Terrible signing and epitomises all that is wrong about the club and our plans.
Park is not playing for the shirt. He seems remote. Another that wishes he wasn't here apart from payday. No ****ing pride.
I said he should have a chance today to build up his confidence, well he blew it and was awful. Has dropped below SWP in the pecking order for me. He was so bad that I said bring on Ephraim for him and people from the old board know what I think of Ephraim.
I have never rated Park other than as a shirt seller. Worst signing I can remember in 38 years (ever!), and to make him Captain ......! Both buying and making him Captain must have been purely commercial decisions and left an exceptionally sickening after taste.
When Park dame to our club, I was fooled to believe that we were buying a quality player ................ I can honestly say that Park, has been not only been our worst player* this year but also our worst buy for many a year. I can't ever recall hearing him apologise to the fans for his totally inept performances this past year. Note - Ferdinand is just as bad but I expected more from Park ............ he was suppose to be a decent player but not that other idiot.
I think weve learnt our lesson, dont buy cast offs from glamour clubs who cant perform on their own. buy the best players of teams below us who are used to being the man. Taarabt is the only exception I cant think of to this rule.
True, the thing is everyone joked about me going off on buying old players but its left us up **** creek. Taarabt had a lot to prove, none of the pensioners do.
