McLeish described his side's performance as 'braindead'. Oh come on you dour Sweaty (I am allowed to say that). You got outplayed by the best team in the division (by far) at the moment. Man up and admit it. And then get some Kuwaitis in - that will help.
Hmmm, but I asked Ekstrand if he had been offered a contract and he said no. But he would like to stay. I said stay in the championship simply as I think we will be loosing playoff finalists. I think we have the ability to make the playoffs but there are a 3/4 teams fighting to go up and only two will go up automatically leaving the others to battle it out. Wow, that's almost intelligent from the BBC!
OFH and for the match thread too, I've been busy last few days and unable to put one up. Have a good weekend all, I'm off to a bull fight later today
Good to see we can still play good football (3rd goal) on what looks like a shocker of a pitch. **** pitches are not going to save you other teams!
That's the other thing of couurse - when the weather imporves and surfaces get better we could really be in a position to take full advantage.
I was hoping you were going to say you were taking part! Our very own matador on the boards - that would have been class
From what I read and hear, I would not be surprised if Vydra is not offered a contract at Watford, but is allowed to remain on loan for the rest of the season. Why would the Pozzos want to sell him for a sizeable fee in England, but miss out on the chance of promotion at Watford, or a much larger fee in Europe. I don't know how the inter-club finances are supposed to operate, but would they just want to give him to us as they were reported to have done with FF. The whole business of what is and what is not shown on the balance sheet seems very cloudy without understanding exactly what the model is supposed to be. Deeney has been offered a contract because his case is different and I think that each of the players might be looked at in their own set of circumstances depending on contract lengths etc. Just my thoughts and I might be totally wrong.
Nottingham Forest boss Alex McLeish: "We were devoid of any ideas and legs and it was one of the worst defensive performances I've seen - it was a 'brain dead' performance. "There needs to be a vast improvement because we won't get to the play-offs with displays like that. I didn't think Watford were extra special - just that we were very poor on the day. How many more times? Get a grip man.
Nah mate, I don't have that bravado. Is the quote below, that you have on your profile, real? (crazy, really, never heard it before)
It is like Marmite Vic. I respect your opinion about it but don't agree. On with the show. We could go on all day arguing about it. Let's not.
The only way Marmite would be like bullfighting is if the cows that go into that spread were to be goaded, exhausted, speared repeatedly and then killed for the enjoyment of a baying "human" audience before being minced-up and cooked. But, as you say, we'll not argue about it - or the relative merits of living in Mexico v. the UK (as I believe we have done before).........
