Have to say as well, even though he got carded for it. Giroud going into the crowd of Gooners to celebrate with them was ****ing spot on and it says a lot about his passion for Arsenal.
I had to work all day, on FA cup weekend of all weekends! Happy to get through what was potentially a banana skin. Brighton are a great team. I will watch the highlights before offering any more thoughts
A lot of people are Tweeting there was an altercation after the game with the "fans" with their "Wenger out" banner
By god sir you're correct. I had it the wrong way round. Don't remember the Wednesday games much but the Liverpool games were crackers.
I think the Weds games were in the third round.I'm sure we ended up finally beating Liverpool in the 1980 semi in the same week of the final itself
The other results against Premier League teams this weekend is making our win down at Brighton look like a very good result indeed.
we got all them last season. City and Liverpool, and in the LC this season we got Newcastle then Chelsea
I'm amazed at the press reaction to the game. Brighton to me, despite a very spirited showing were second best all day. Their goals were one dreadful mistake from Sczezney, who from all the players reactions called for it, and Sontos allowing a player to take all the time he wanted to play in a perfect cross under no pressure whatsoever. Brighton scored on 2 of their 3-4 legitimate chances and fair play to them for that, but there seemed to me that there was only going to be one winner of the game throughout. The press just seem to want to trot out cliches every chance they get, Arsenal's shaky defense, Arsenal desperate to win a cup, Arsenal no chance of winning the CL and so on. All I am sure about is that Arsenal have more chance of winning the FA cup or the CL this season, than Liverpool or Spurs.
