Business stuff wouldn't interest sky sports enough to broadcast interview. He will have to throw them a bone and answer a couple of questions about Adkins (and will probably be surprisingly gracious and thankful to him) but he will want to talk about the future I'm sure. Big signing to announce? Seems unlikely but we live in hope!
Just wandered over to Saints Web, to see how they took the announcement, and the comments there show a very poisoned response, on the whole. The positive ones seem to have to couch their responses in sarcasm. So glad I stopped being part of that setup, a few years ago. I've a sneaking suspicion that the pro-success SFC fans are all migrating to NOT606, while the grumbling, unhappy ones, who can't find a positive comment in their souls, are all going to Saints Web.
funny enough i stumbled upon saints web first and i decided that i would not make an account due to certain negative comments, then i found not606 and i have been reading stuff everyday since. too bad i dont always have things to say :/
Just spoken to someone ITK, Cortese is expected to relieve Pochettino of his duties and all coaching, medical, admin staff because he's struggling to sleep recently and in that extra 8 hours a day can do all the other jobs himself for a lower price.
I couldn't agree more, SaintsWeb has become nothing more than a breeding place for cynicism, sarcasm and unhappiness. Which is a shame as it used to be a decent forum but at least we have Not606 now!
Yeah, people seem to forget that Cortese does not have to speak to the Press about anything. How many other Chairmen do you hear from, and how often?
Very good point. He's obviously judged the reaction and decided to do this interview. Fair play for that. We don't know how long he has had that planned either. Lets see what the guy says.
Suspect the PR man suggested it because let's face it a lot of rot has been in the papers. Do we really believe that Nigel wasn't told prior to a press release? Gives him a chance to say something nice about Nigel, but he will mainly talk about his future plans in general terms. P.s. someone should tell Nicola to wear earplugs because Jim White SHOUTS.

It's been a long time since I visited, but I had it pegged the other way round. Mostly full of sycophants, all very negative about the club.
There will be all platitudes for Nigel and that is all. A compromise agreement will have been signed by both parties as with Pardew. Nicola does not need to explain his actions to our negative focused media. He will spend most of the time bigging up the club, our new manager and our players. There just might be a new signing but don't hold your breath. The whole thing would have been planned in advance with prepared answers to all possible questions. Nicola does not need to explain his actions to appease the media but he does need to enthuse the fans. Nicola is accountable to the Liebherr's and no one else.
