How so? We weren't going to win it. We've been knocked out at the right time for us to concentrate on the league.

Defeats like this will give the manager some idea of where we're at, ie where we need to strengthen. We went 3 games without a win in October but then went on a decent run. Dunno why we can't do the same if we sign someone this week.

I wasn't at the game .. So no idea who played well and who didn't..

Did we look like scoring ?

Better to lose today then lose our next league game ... Fingers crossed Steve Bruce will sort it before the end of the Transfer Window.

that's bollocks. defeats are bad for morale, bad for cohesion and just about anything else. I predict we will go 2-3 games on a bad run now.

If they have serious aspirations for success this season it's these results that will give them a kick up the arse. If they're professional enough they'll be bitterly disappointed and will try harder next match because of it.

Now what's success for City? An FA Cup run isn't a success. We'll just be overlooked all the time by the media and people will whinge about it. And then the inevitable would happen- we'd be knocked out at some stage. Promotion has always been our goal.

or it will upset any momentum we had.

yes it is. we just don't have (m)any, so we dis it.

not disputing that. But it's my contention that a winning mentality improves morale and boosts our chances of reaching that goal.

That hasn't happened recently. We've gone from one bad to result to another with no sign the players even care.
